Post subject:  Farewell Samiak

Hello my friends.
As some of you know our dear friend samiak will step down from the server for a year. Yes you heard that right, for a whole year, and who knows if it’s going to last any longer. This Sunday (6/1/13) will be his last day here since at the morning of the 7th he will enroll himself in the army and begin his military career. So, I’m posting this so that you can all say your goodbyes, wish him well and say your last words to him. For me now, dolf was something more than a friend. We were buddies for a very long time like he was with most of the people he knows. He was always helping around and has been a nice person to everyone. If we didn’t have dolf on smp and in the forums making his jokes and entertaining us, this would have been a completely different place. A really exceptional guy leaves the server and I really feel sad since he is a very good friend of mine. He stood next to me when I needed him and I won’t see him for a year so I hope I’ll be here when he comes back to see him again. This server without dolf in my opinion will just be poorer.
I wish you the best in your future army career. I’m sure you’ll do great.
:18 Farewell my friend. :18

Oh and don’t forget. Army doesn’t sell beer, so I hope that you’ll survive without your drug.

Hmm, what to say. Gonna start this off with a crappy joke, followed by our time together, followed by a serious message.

The military can improve many things; Mental strength, physical strength, good leadership, maturity and a vast majority of things. It cannot improve your wonderful singing, although.

I first met you when I was a mere noob on the SMP server. You helped me out, and you we're a great guy to be around. I had wondered then why you weren't op. I use to come on the server hoping to see you on to do just about anything, even jumping down holes repeatedly to get our mcMMO levels up. I do have a bone to pick with you, as why I got only a slim corner of the valley... :P
One day you were gone, and that time kept growing until finally one day you came back. I was glad you were back, and I am positive that you were glad to be back. I honestly wish you didn't have to leave, but that's life and at least I had a warning of your absence this time.

I wish you a lot of luck in your future endeavors and hope you come back to us on your next break. If you can't, I'll see you in a year 'ol pal. :26

Thanxxx (not that "porn" xxx) youise :3

Yeah, I'll pop by every now and then. If things go to shit, I might not be able to stay for a whole year, but even if I can, I'll have some days off. And don't worry - it's just military training, not warfare ^_^

Höhö :D You won't even notice my absence. I had only wished for Thorin's Hall to be completed before I leave... Oh well, maybe next year :P

Oh, and I'm not good at parting, so I'm not going to cry a river, build a bridge and get over it - I'll instead just be cold so I truly don't have to cry a river. Lol.

First weekend off, woohoo. I like le Army. Even though it's far more physically demanding than my body can handle, the rest is great.

Lol, second weekend off - this time an entire day early!
Thanks, I shall :P Had my first all-nighter in the forest, eleven wet men shoved into a small tent. There was no room for me to sleep, so I had to lie in a tight space on top of a huge pile of firewood. I put my socks near the stove, but even after six hours they were wet. Fuu fuu.
In the morning we had to take down the tent and clean our shit, which meant covering the tracks and carrying the huge pile of firewood in a marked spot. Now that I'm back home, I consider it the best trip in ages.

Yo, thought I'd give an update to you civilians.

Has been quite easy so far and it's going to get easier - at least for me. I recently got downgraded from an A-class man to a B-class lad because of my achy back, which means I won't be serving in such hard jobs as before. I spend most my time in my bunk, since these last few weeks have been either practically scheduleless or filled with tough physical excercises in which I can no longer participate.
Next week will be a catering camp for us soldier boilers ("sotilaskeittäjä" in Finnish, hence "soldier boiler" - meaning a chef, of course) and after that there will be a three-week large scale war enactment in Lapland - in which we won't participate :l to my knowing most of the other folks in my brigade will, though. We chefs have to supply the NCO Students for one week in a local range. Oh well.
      Getting released 20.06.2013 :3
P.S. I've been drinking all the money the Finnish Defence Forces has been giving me twice a month. Fuu fuu!

Obligatory six, nine or twelve months' military training for all men short of religious nutcases, ethical bastards and those who do civil service or jailtime instead. Finland also assists in UN peacekeeping missions, Google it for more info. We're very active in that regard (from Nordic countries). So yeah, some of us also shoot Mohammads. I'm not qualified to apply for peacekeeping, though I'd like to :3

Your view of the army is terrible! An army is for protecting the country the serv in. You don't see this anymore except some countries in the world who still have to do it.

Well, that's what Defence Forces are for. Offensive armed forces like that of the US are not for protection; they're for annihilating.

They know the right time to invade before their dollar would literally be worth nothing.
