Post subject:  SpA UHC Tournament (Minecraft)
About
UHC is a gamemode made popular my the mindcrack community. It consists of players being randomly spawned around a 2000x2000 map leaving them to survive and battle it out to determine the winner. Everything is against you here, as your health does not regen naturally. The only way you can achieve this is by eating golden apples or drinking regeneration potions.

Sound easy enough eh? Well your wrong there.

Golden apples now require 8 gold ingots rather than nuggets, along with the challenge of getting an apple from a tree. Glistering melons now also require a gold block rather than a gold ingot. Also as a sadistic bonus feature players can wrap a fellow players head in gold ingots(as you would do with an apple) to create an item that will regen you health.

Rules
  • NO mods are allowed. If you are caught using any mods you will be eliminated from the game.
  • Once the game has started you are not allowed to leave for any reason (not even toilet breaks). If you leave the game for more than one minute you will be eliminated
  • Traps and other dirty tricks are allowed, as long as they are legitimate in 100% vanilla
  • Remember that a quick game is a good game. Don't just sit and try to wait out your opponents
  • Branch mining is not allowed
  • If you get disconnected while in PVP combat you will be eliminated as if you were killed
  • Once the game has gone on for a decent amount of time and the player count has dropped, players can agree to move within a certain radius of the center. They will have 5 or so minutes to do so (after agreeing) and then the border will be enforced.
So? Got you interested? Well then make sure you in our mumble channel at least 30 minutes before the game begins to participate and you let us know in the forum post.

Planned Games (All gamemodes include the Last Man Standing aspect where the last team/player wins)
This will only go ahead if we get more than 5 players interested

All hail the season 2 winner: Stesser!!

Now, this is where the prize of Rising Storm ends. However if you guys are still interested we can continue playing!! After the chat in mumble most of us voted for having Bi-Monthly UHC events. Rather than sign ups happening just be in mumble ~30 minutes before the starting time (6am +10GMT as it has been for the last 2) and we can add you to the games.

This also goes for anyone who wishes to spectate. (Although I cant be sure that the IRC will be working for 1.6 by then)

A question. Will there be played on the mojang made UHC mode (which is a lot harder) or the self forged UHC mode?

This is because of the golden apples that only heal one heart in UHC mode.
