I know there was something like Towny before, but is there something like that on the new map, so I can protect my little piece of land? :)

Not currently. As of now, the only protection is lwc: which protects chests, furnaces, and basically anything you can access. Possibilites for protection are however still up in the air.

The issue is picking a plugin that is easy, and that works. Take a look at our past maps, which type of protection did you like best?

Personally I liked the residence system. The protection stones just seemed way too easy and cheap to protect a large area.

Towny was a very awesome plugin, it was very easy and useful to use.

So I'm all for Towny if it's still updated.

There's no way Towny will work again. Players hate being restricted to a single chunk, and our player base will drop when they realise that they're restricted.

I cant remember which one it is, you may have already listed it but imo, one of the best ones was the one where you would select the two corners of your residence with a arrow then set up you Res like that.

(I think me and CoD are talking about the same one :5: )

You're talking about Res, he's talking about PS.
Butt yes, both are good. My favourite is Towny, though.

I have tried Grief Prevention - it seemed easy to use and friendly to resources. Also, the block count increases as people play, so this can keep players play here.

How about something like this: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/villages/

Its like towny, where you create the village and claim plots. But you will be able to build anywhere, I won't turn that restriction on

That actually looks pretty cool. If I wasn't relying completely on my phone right now, I'd watch the video on it. I didn't see whether it allowed individual protections for people who don't want to live in a town though.

Grief prevention looks kinda fun for solo nuts like me.

I guess if you want the rpg kinda thing though, villages would work better overall, since it has mechanics for plots and rent integrated.

I'd be fine with either, as long as villages also has a solo component for me.^^

I personally liked PS better. I thought it was a good way to protect land and it was hard enough to get I think we should go with PS But i dont mind residence at all i thought it was good
But no matter what. i think we need land protections

Ok, so is it going to be implemented something from above? Because I don't want to bother Dolf every time someone griefs my field... :P

Residence is already in. I don't know if the villages thing is compatible, but it'd be neat to have both.
