Hi, as we all know, the current 1.6.4 FTB is just.. dead. All I see are people coming with "oh, it did not reset yet?" question Thus I propose we update the pack and make a new map - by update I mean switch to Bevo's Tech Pack - possibly with all the extra mods (Spice of Life, Blood Magic, eventually Thaumcraft when it arrives). It contains all the newest and greatest stuff - like Mekanism, new IC2, TE4, AE2, PneumaticCraft, Progressive Automation, Steve's Factory Manager, Twilight Forest, Botania and about lots more! So, what do you think? |

The current FTB server has been shut down as it has been gathering dust for some time now. I've stickied this thread for now. |

Get on with it already If the mod pack has some sort of protection (so I don't have to be jumpy and wary of other players all the time), I'm in. If not, I might play when there are no other players. Or I don't know. But yeah, nobody wants anything to do with 1.6.*. |

Yeah so could we get a more difficult pack and reset the map. I really enjoyed the server untill I got almost everything. |

If you are not familiar with Spice of Life - it basically forces you to eat different kinds of food, because if you keep eating the same food it uses its nutrition value (eventually down to 0%) |

Of course I would tweak the configs a bit in BTP - like take out some of the fancy worldgen, because you can find diamonds and gold above the ground. Such OPness! Oh and in the talks of harder servers - Better than Wolves anybody? |

If we wanted a more difficult modded Minecraft, we COULD make a Crackpack server. I've been watching videos of the modpack myself and I must say that it interests me. We wouldn't be able to call it FTB anymore but it's worth a look. It uses the ATLauncher, and is simple enough to set up. You make a new "Instance" and select which modpack you want and you can select a couple options with it as well. Some things in the pack could lag a server - figuring these things out is easy and simple to fix and always has an alternate method to get the same result from it. Just saying, worth a look. http://www.atlauncher.com/downloads/ |

I am sorry but crackpack is 1.6.4 and nobody wants to play it anymore . Forge has been out for 1.7.2 since DECEMBER!! Bevo's Tech Pack is on ATL as well btw. |

So by the looks of things, we are going to go with Bevo's tech pack. I was testing it earlier today locally and it looks like its got a great set of mods. I spent a good hour or so looking into OpenComputers, which is now my new favorite mod |

Are we using the full pack or the mini pack? Also I may not be able to play if this is very computer intensive due to my computer being a toaster. |

We are hoping to go with the full version. However my worry is that not many people will be able to run that version well. |

I can run it way better than I could the old pack. So I can run the full pack with max setting and get a stable frame rate. Also is it going to be amplifed terrain since I can not run that in vanila due to it being really differcult on my computer.

There's your problem there I can't even run vanilla on max settings with my new setup, I mean I can but I get 15 FPS or lower.

Ohhhhh okay, that makes a lot more sense, I was kinda curious as to weather your PC was really a toaster or you were just trolling us with that lol.

With any luck, we might be able to release it this weekend. Just have to check a few things first. |

I really hope that is the case since singleplayer does not do this pack justice.
