I've done searches throughout the forum to find the other art thread but I couldn't get any results, so I decided to make a new one!

Are you a traditional artist or more the modern digitally type of artist? Do you love to express yourself in whatever medium?
Then post it here!

What this topic is here for:
  • • Use it to show off your works/Projects!
    • Receive critics and feedback from the other members!
    • Get your portfolio link up here and who knows? Someone just might need an artist!
Also discussing about how you create your art is possible, what software is being used or which tools. Also posting helpful video's which might help fellow artists are welcome!
Let it all loose!

And a most recent work of mine:

Nice one, i couldnt find the other topic at all. But this is easier to find ;)
I'll post some stuff later :D

You work looks good mate! I hope my mate is giving you good advice for your future career! :5:

EDIT: I found the thread, http://forum.specialattack.net/viewtopi ... 96&start=0 Perhaps we could combine the two and maybe use "The Art Topic" as the new thread title? (if someone with the power could do this perchance?)

Due to the fact that merging threads makes my head hurt, how about we consider this a reboot?

Few things I did 2009/2010
3 of the flyers I did for some local gigs, nothing special as I was doing it for free, often the organsier would let me and my girlfriend in without paying.

Today, I decided to try out water-colors just out of the blue, I haven't touched them since before high-school or so. I took my brother's photo as the template and edited it in photoshop. It's not exactly a "fair art piece" because I printed the outlines onto two A4 size papers and traced them on a window (so I had the see-through guide-lines underneath the original paper). After I had the basic outlines down with a pencil, I went over it with a fine pen, filled some thicker places with a black magic marker and did all the shadings etc with black water-color.

Took me about an hour and a half. Other than the tracing fact, I'm quite happy with it, I should do it more often. :4

(A3, on the back of an old calendar sheet, which happened to be largest paper I had laying around)

Nice comeback effort Matude. I myself don't get on with watercolours so I respect those that have the patience with it. I like to get messy that's why I choose charcoal, chalks, pastels, oils and acrylics 8)
