If you ever wondered how winter looks like in Japanese countryside, these pictures I took on today's trip might give you an idea.
It is truly beautiful! :5:

Well it really depends in which part of Japan you are. In the north, it snows really a lot, in places on the southern coast like Tokyo or Osaka, it snows only a little. In Kanazawa, where I live, it's supposed to have tons of snow, but until now it only snowed for one day - and that was actually day long period of snow, hail and rain. :|

But I read a warning about strong snowfalls in my area today, so we might get lots of snow soon. 8)

On related news, when I was watching TV yesterday, suddenly an overlay informing about an earthquake came on (in the same area as last year's infamous Fukushima one). Soon it turned into emergency broadcast warning about tsunami and it was really scary, because the announcer kept telling in an extremely alarmed tone: "Tsunami is coming! Run away from the coast or at least on top of a building! Remember last year's disaster!"
I live in a completely different area so there was no danger for me, and also the tsunami was about 50cm high in the end, but it was kinda scary seeing such serious sounding warning on TV.

That's crazy, I feel so bad for Japan there have been so many earthquakes following that terrible tsunami. Hope you're okay.
