Hello all, I need a good screen recorder so I can make long videos, for my Spacast minecraft videos, I will start them soon ,I hope. Been busy with school, but I'll try. |

Fraps is your best option, and then the there is also Camstudio. Fraps takes a lot of space and is very cpu intensive and requires a good computer, but it has amazing quality. Camstudio doesn't require as much space as fraps and comes with a built in editing software. |

thanks! I've downloaded fraps, but I'm having a problem now. Whenever I make a video, it records for 30 seconds then stop recording, Its frustrating because I was making a five minute video but, I only have 30 seconds recorded. |

It's a trial/demo version. Try finding a cracked one >:D

Camtasia Studio 7.1 I use this software, it is mostly for editing for tutorials and stuff, but it can be used to do time lapses as well as some other things. It also has a screen recorder that records your entire screen so it is CPU intensive, I recommend going to windows (version) basic theme while you're recording. I have a couple examples below:
