So, I have a nice TV in my bedroom and no cable going to it for all sorts of reasons.

So I figured, let's buy a standalone media player which connects on my WiFi and outputs locally through HDMI.

So far so good. Done some browsing and what not, and came to buy a AC Ryan Veolo. Bad decision.

Hardware and design seem fine, but OS (Android 2.2) is very outdated and doesn't work well.

Now I'll return this device and I want a different one.

Basically all it needs to do is contain android with a decent recent version so I can run XBMC off it, have a wireless interface and an HDMI output interface.

Any suggestions anyone? Pricerange should be between 200 and 300 euros.

This looks interesting as well.

The pain with these things is that you never really can test anything before you buy it, risking sending back device after device....
