That's only if you have a World of Warcraft Retail account, meaning that if you use the actual public Blizzard version, your blizzard account can be shut down.

So your saying you are ok if you don't use the retail version? LOL that's still breaking their terms of use. It's still uneceptable in ther eyes for playing there game without paying. Just cause you don't use tue retail version for the server dosent mean you still can't be reported. I'm sure some private PIES manage to stay hidden/immune to be closed down, but I don't think it's a risk SpA is going to take.

There are multiple websites which list hundreds of different servers, many of which Blizzard employees like to lurk around, looking for reasons to shut it down. but yeah, I do realize SpA isn't going to run a WoW server if it conflicts with the terms of use that you don't need to agree to if you use an emulator, and that's fine. It was simply a suggestion that proved to be without merit or enough consideration on my part.

At least it wasn't ignored, and the reason for it being negatively answered was given. Thanks for that, at least.

I love people claiming private WoW servers have any kind of legality to them since I used to link people to the ToS/EULA all the time even though I don't care about WoW one bit. It's funny how people invent nice legal fairytales to make it seem as if they are doing nothing wrong while it's right there black on white with not a single shred of doubt about it. ;-)

some servers have a saxton hale model that looks like a gay male porn star from the 80's; others use the Headless Horseman model.

Would love to see the fun server back, but with rotating game modes, like Saxton Hale mode, dodgeball, and prophunt :mrgreen: is it possible to have gamemodes in rotation? Dodgeball was great, but it got a bit repepititive.

How about arma 2?
I don’t know about the criteria and if we can host it but it’s an awesome game and very popular. It’s not a free game though. There are 6 expansions but we don’t need all of them. You can find more information on the site but you should check it from steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/33900/ . We should have the basic game, arma 2, to be able to play and we could also play the expansions, which cost 15 euros. If we decide to host it each of us will have to buy an expansion (we should all buy the same of course :D ) so we can play multiplayer. The best expansion is ARMA II: Golden Edition but it costs to much so It’s better to buy the second best, ARMA II: British Armed Forces http://store.steampowered.com/app/65700/ which costs 9 euros, so in total everything costs 24 euros. There are many bundles that include the main game and 2 expansions and many other different things but if someone wants all six of them they cost about 50 euros. :(
