what's the win limit/time limit for Degroot? It's an incredibly fast map and it would be a shame if it would be over too quickly, since people use the same amount of points on Degroot Keep than e.g. on a longer cp map. |

Well, when me and Gzeus used to manually change it to degroot to fill the server, it would go on far too long. What is the current max rounds atm? Also, some more notes: Eqypt : Should consider imposing a 2 round limit, like dustbowl etc. I've tried buying pretty much all the new ones with no other issues to report. |

After playing Degroot last night do you think it should be reduced? |

Post subject: | Re: Team Fortress Map updates |
yep, last night was 9 rounds, i think 6max (20mins) is sufficient. |

i'm sure we can tweak it if its too short, but when me and GZ used the map to fill the server it would normally go on too long |

Aye, give that a test and if it needs tweaking let me know |

Dust_bowls a really hard one, as it either kills the server, or you spend the whole game in spawn. On a good day you actually get a decent game, but yeah I don't think it's worth it sadly. People choose to leave rather than just get spammed back into spawn. Do people like Hightower? The payload with the raising platforms at the end? The last cap can just take forever, because it's so difficult to take, and I've seen things really drag out sometimes. I don't think it ended in one instance until one team just had to let the other cap. Probably one of the only maps I leave for abit while it's on, same for Lakeside. |

Post subject: | Re: Team Fortress Map updates |
It seems, lakeside, hightower, dustbowl and frontier seem to be the most problematic ones at the moment; especially for things like spawn camping and dull long ass games. Big issue with hightower, which I did not realise was it can never end, if both teams are in overtime and both on the elevator, the game will never end till someone caps, it can go on for ages, im not even sure if it does in fact end. I'm not sure if it is worth voting for these maps on the forum because the figures wont be very representative of the player base (either because they visit the forums to infrequently or not at all) perhaps we could look into installing a plug-in that records feedback, like those pop ups you see on other servers and in CS:S that ask you what you think of this map (select option 1 - wank, 2 - i hate it ,3 - meh, 4 its fine, stop bothering me, 5 -im just jizzed in my pants its so good) Then use this information to make really informed decisions on how to develop and optimise the rotation. |

I don't mind dustbowl that much, but it gets annoying at times. On the other hand, someone (matude I think) bought freight, and it was actually quite fun, I think it could be included in the rotation. Also, aren't there any more maps like Dustbowl, with one team attacking and going through multiple stages? Apart form Goldrush, which is payload, only Egypt comes to my mind, and that's not exactly popular. |

Post subject: | Re: Team Fortress Map updates |
cp_gorge is a attack defend map, i dont mind this being added to rotation, as long as it is set to 2 rounds only. I would love to see freight added to the rotation as well. Where? I have no idea yet; but I am sure I can think of a good place for it. |

p.s. dustbowl 4tw ^^ (and 2fort as well) |

perhaps we could but dustbowl and 2fort on server 1 and take them off the no crits server. |

Yeah everyone seems to like freight. I would really love to see cp_gorge, and freight replace dustbowl and lakeside, much better and more popular maps. Keep cp5 gorge too though, that's a nice map. I think nightfall should be a maximum of 3 rounds, as it's a 3 stage race, pointless doing the first stage twice. It can be a fun map, but even if every round is a steamroll, no one likes the map enough to care |

sounds good to me, and yeah, even if nightfall is a stacked steamroll people just want to fuck around on it and get it over quick; it is a fun spy map too.

If you want a map taken off the rotation it would be good to replace it with another. |
