hot diggity, it's that time again folks

loads of stuff in here - for me, the most interesting is koth_badlands (!), and some of the weapon changes are pretty good too (airblaster on a backburner, anyone?). also, reduced memory usage! bout damn time valve :ugly:

How does the new vote system affect the servers?

They've just made the powerjack useless. Hmm with the back burner having airblast, I think I'm gonna have to change my pyro loadout, I was just getting into using my powerjack properly, it sort of made up for not having the axtinguisher before.

Dont worry, TF2 crashes so much that we dont have need for servers anyway. :5:

Also: Yay Backburner :4 , but still no Detonator. :cry:

Server settings fixed too? As i just played on lakeside with score 3-1.
4 rounds for lakeside? Default server as "no crits server was empty.

dodgeball server appears to be borked - unsurprisingly, given that the update borked everything else too. i don't know if anyone has tried restarting it. will we need to wait for a new version to be released by the author of the mod?

Supposedly the updates broke a hell of a lot of plugins and stuff, so it would be miraculous if it hadn't broken this.

I've also noticed that the public can now vote for maps that they want to play, but the vote system doesn't work? Vote's are just ignored.

Yep , saw that too.

Also, if the Valve vote system would work,its must be, that if a player buys a map with SpA -points, that map must have priority to the vote result. Otherwise he would have wasted his SpA points.

Voting can seem to extend the current map at least, was almost faced with the horror of an hour long Badwater Basin, but thankfully TF2 crashed and saved me from the torture :roll:

New backburners not bad, it at least has the utility that it desperately needed, but its still no real contest to the degreaser, absolutely in love with the new flare gun. Finally, all the years of my bizarre close range flare gun training is finally becoming useful :lol:. Powerjack is useless now, so long gas jockey pyro, died far too young. And the lack of the detonator makes me quite sad :cry:

Haven't tried much else yet, but the dakolas bar seems at least a handy alternative now, though the sandvich is still probably better over all :|.

Usually when I cook a heavy and I have time, Ill pull out the powerjack which will often finish the job just in time, is that gonna be feasible?

Sad really, I loved gas jockey pyro, not as sure if it's worth the bullet vunerability, with its nerfed melee, compared to the axtinguisher, even the back scratcher is a superior altenative. I mean it's not like people were moaning about being killed the powerjack, and gunslinger :|

I used to for a while, the speed bonus from the set was pretty sweet, and with the extra damage, could still consistantly kill people in 1 or 2 hits, which made it a fairly decent side grade for the axtingusher, which is pretty good since thats supposed to be the benchmark for a pyro weapon, now its a lot closer to the fire axe :?
