Well, the whole point of the system they developed is that they keep adding items and hats. It was bound they would run out of ideas with the original artstyle. :)

"survival of the fittest" i.e. better adapted for immediate, local environment.

New weapon's mean new challenges; new plans of attack and new counters. Not just the same scrim on badlands all the time using the same weapons you have mastered over 5 years ^^

don't care for the clockwork hat, but loving the Deus Ex stuff, and OMFG engi finally has some new toys :4 (now if only he had a mini dispencer to go with the mini-sentry, but oh well).

I've had the game pre-ordered since the day it went up, and though i was a bit annoyed when i realized that steam doesn't get the pre-order bonus weapons (though i assume they'll be released seperetly at some point) this does make me quite happy that i stuck with it.

And oh god, that sniper rifle model *drool*

Shame theres nothing for pyro.

And grrr, why couldn't they have come out last week. Boyfriends birthday tommorow so i'm staying in his tonight and i'll be out all day tommorow :cry:

"Keeping the visual style consistent is important, in that we don't want anything out of theme or out of date. TF is a stylized world set some time in the 50's. Nothing modern, visually hyper-realistic, or overly "cartoony." :ugly:

At least it's well made, but I got into tf2 because I digged the 50's theme and the artstyle. I don't think we'll see much of the new weapons, they seem to have novelty stats, like the sun on a stick, not really useful. The short ciruit might be good though, depends what it replaces.

The Machina (new sniper rifle) is pretty cool, has a wicked sound, just a shame you can't no scope, but just make sure you have a decent seconday setup.

Haven't tried the diamond back yet, model looks cool though!

The Widowmaker is badass haha, cool model too!

The short circuit is pretty shit, but may be okay when defending a sentry nest.

Having both of these equipped drains your metal really quickly :<

The nanobalaclava looks MASSIVE on the spy! really big, not like the render on the site at all :<

That new sniper rifle looks amazing =D !! Also the spy hat = awesome. On the other hand, I had been out of TF2 for like 3 months or so. And when I came back there were about 100 ( i like to exagerate ) new items/guns. Who can keep (proper) track nowadays :/ ..

I think the short circuit will be the only weapon, at the moment, that I can see people using in the long run, it destroys projectiles, and it only takes 30 metal, but the big thing is that it only replaces the pistol. I think I'll have to sell my soul, and take a looky at how it works, I guess compared to the rest of the Deus items it's look alright. I think the widowmaker will work well with the short circuit, possible new offensive engie setup? I don't think it could pry me away from my frontier justice, love that thing.

Sorry one thing, it fits the artstyle Junco, not the Theme, thats what you mean. Artstyle does not equal theme. :D

Yes yes I know :P but I don't really think it compliments the artstyle either, of course they're stylized to tf2, but they still don't fit in.

Ohhhh, it is sad day for my enemies!

First double kill ( or was it tripple even? ) after several maps of sniping. :D
I think it even played a special sound similiar to shieldbash. Need to read the wiki now to confirm that it deals 175 damage fully charged. edit: Ugh, no wiki page yet, then some noobs have to die.


I also like that they copied my mannco store hat + specs sniper outfit. :ugly:

The weapons at least should be, as they have stats and arn't just reskins, the miscs I doubt will be craftable, but you'd probably be able to buy them

Happend to me on our server too when i first tried to use the maschina. After spawn i could only swap between kukri and Jarate. Disconnected and reconnected and then it was fine.

Also the maschina is great, really love it. :)
