The rare crashes currently spooking around at our servers is most likely caused by a problem on steam's side.

The crash, if it occures, always happends at the moment a client connects, with that, the server gives a UserIDTicketValidationServer error in the crash log. Most likely for what ever reason the steam server makes a communication error which causes the server to start tripping and going down.

The server crashes occur only sometimes. One time the server runs fine for day's, and the other time, like today, they both crash twice.

I've already contacted VALVe about it, in the hope they will do something about it.

No, that was removed 10 minutes after i put it on. The patch caused the servers to crash at the moment you joined it.

This bug should now be fixed.
Quote:
The Linux dedicated server for Team Fortress 2 has been updated again.
This update fixes the Assertion Failure: ValidationServerIP1 !=
ValidationServerIP2 that some servers were getting.
