I could probably sell my unusual, but I know I'll regret it the moment I re-launch tf2 and see my pyro hatless :( Btw there is a new hat for pyro. it will be given for owning or buying killing floor between december 14th and January 4th :ugly:

Well yes, but afair on paypal there is an option to request your money back. Dunno really how its working, but since Sonny says such deals are being made there must be a way to make a fair deal.

well the backpack is public, and i'm sure if someone got REALLY ripped off and made a case with steam/valve they might be able to assist.
And if its done through those shits at paypal, then there is a claims court.

And Valve won't help since selling/buying items out of game is against the Terms of Use, they're more likely to just ban you for it

well maybe they've since changed their stance on it (or realised that they can't really do fuck all about it when there's this many people doing it) but they certainly didn't let people do it before and suspended the account of anyone they caught doing it, maybe they'll pull another retroactive punishment like they did with the idle program once they're not so busy, or maybe just let it happen and sulk in a corner about it :?

and even if they don't ban anymore, it seems they won't help for money trades either way.

hmmm, i guess then its about as trust worthy as ebay but without the user reporting or feedback scheme.

But they may sell these hats for 400 but you need to remember that some of these people have opened like 200 crates sometimes, so it isn't all gonna be profit.
but still, making that much money of a few hundred polys and a pfx for a 3 year old game is hilarious :D

Well steamforums is just a childrens playground in terms of money trades, sourceop.com is the place :mrgreen: My unusual price is already up to 40$ :ugly: There are people there who buy sick amount of hats and then sell it for tiny bit more - there is a guy who already sold like 105 unusual's, some for ridicolous prices. Burning fire unusual's go 200+$ every time :roll: There is even positive/negative feedback section on the forums, so you wont get scammed ;)
