Know that a couple of you have GTA so I thought I'd make a quick thread show this DayZ mod off. Only had a couple of hours ingame, but it's pretty good. They've done a really good job keeping it consistant to GTA despite the fox/wolfs that attack you and that big alien spaceship thing I seen on one server. Your character does get saved, and you only have to remember the login details you last used (registering is instant and done ingame so don't threat) but saves only work on the server you registered those details on.



If you haven't already you'll need to downgrade your game version to 1.0, which you will need to do if it's on steam. Download the file from here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... ?t=1952458 and read the readme carefully. Then just add the new exe file to your steam library.

Map: Some tips:
-Check porches, even when it looks like there's no loot there.
-Check dead zombies, some will even have guns and ammo.
-You can't euip a bigger backpack if you haven't got a couple of free slots. You can't equip smaller backpacks.
-Don't forget to equip weapions.
-You can always drop stuff by moving away from a loot pile and then trying again.
-You can shake zombies off eventually by sprinting away.
-Zombies might spawn around you, don't under estimate them! Especially when there's many!
-Get a melee or gun ASAP, otherwise crouch a lot until you find one.
-You will die.
