I upped the memory to 4gig and went for a 160gb Intel V2 SSD.

To be honest I almost shit my pants after pressing the order its way more than I intended to spend.

Just need to pursuade my accountant that its justifiable to put it through as a business expense.....

I'm also still waiting for my awesome Vaio F series. Also with i7, 8Gb Ram ddr3 1333Mhz, nvidia 330m (yeah, could be better but I don't care that much about that). Should be in my hands next week finally! :D

Congrats for your purchase Jedi! :D

Sony Laptops do always look nice that for sure. I've never quite understood why they build a really high spec laptop and the put a 330m into it which - seems totally out of balance with the rest of it. Is it focused more on mutlimedia creation and editing, with 8gb of memory it seems to point in that direction.

Bet you can't wait for the days to pass before its delivered!

Yeah, you're right Jedi. Although for my need it is good enough. The only thing I'll probably play on it will be tf2, for everything else I got the ps3.
And yeah, I really can't wait for it to arrive, but it's just 5 days max. :4
Hopefully you'll get yours fast too.

And no Bucky it's pretty much this one: http://www.sony.de/product/vn-f-series/vpcf11z1e-bi
I got Win7 ultimate and a faster hdd.

Shure, if you're interested.
Yes it arrived on monday and I really love this laptop.
First the looks: Vaio models always tend to have nice looks and manage to hide bulkiness. This model is no exception.
Its colour is a mixture of matte grey/black which is very nice.
The keyboard is very, very good. Typing is so much fun on this. Sadly while US models have backlit keyboards, EU versions don't.
On the other hand EU got a Premium Full HD matte screen, which is not available in the US.
And damn this screen is nice. Vaios are well known for their good screens and this one is fantastic.
Nice colours and brightness (which is adjusted automatically by a sensor) combined with full HD resolution and the blu-ray burner = awesome!
The performance of this laptop is also great, although I haven't made intensive testing yet.
Only played tf2 till now, need to do some photoshop testing etc, but I guess it'll do great with 8gig of fast ddr3 ram.
The "problem" a lot of people seem to have with this laptop is the fan noise.
It does get pretty loud while doing heavy stuff like games etc, but I does not really bother me. The laptop stays very cool, and that is more important.
Oh battery life is also pretty short, you can get about max 2 hours of it. This is not important as it will be plugged in almost all the time because it is a desktop replacement for me.

So, there's your short review, hope to read about your impressions when you get your machine! :D
As for pics, I don't have a good camera around so I can't post any. But if you want to see pics google for Vaio F series and you'll find plenty. ;)
