What camera is it you have?
What focus points are you using? Try and use the centre one instead of all of them. This way you can focus on what you want to be in focus and stand out, as opposed to getting everything in focus.
You said in your original post about over exposing. What metering are you using? Try Spot Metering, if your camera has this. If not, it will have Partial Metering. With Spot Metering, it will expose for the centre of the image, and Partial Metering does this, plus a bit more around the centre. When using this, aim the camera at what you want exposed the most and go from there. If the sky is always blown out, use exposure compensation. Or choose a day to go out where it's a blue sky instead of a cloudy one.
The one with the guy juggling knives, a good subject, but it would of worked better zoomed in (or got closer?) and try a different view of angle. Seeing everyone around him distracts you from the subject, so try and have subjects like that fill up the image. It really makes them stand out.
Also, I notice a fair bit of camera shake on the photos. What settings were you using? Try and use a fast shutter to help eliminate this. Or get a monopod.
