Yeah, I must say it was quite amazing. It was basically a Sega Master System in portable form. 0_o

Too bad the batteries on that thing lasted like 15 minutes, so you had to play with a charger attached and that meant you could have played the games on the Master System in the first place. ;-)
We're sync posting the same complaint :5:

The Necromancer (4970)
Yeah, ha, ha - I usually don't feel old until I start discussing things from the past that seem quite recent for me but are absolutely foreign to i.e. people from the 90s. And then, on the other hand, when I bump into people discussing their childhood, which was like 10 years after mine. Pokemon? I GREW UP ON FUCKING NINJA TURTLES (and Sesame Street but that's still around)! (Notice how cartoons were much more kick-ass back then? I don't mean better - just more kick-ass and violent. =)

And at school we played POG!

Well, OK, technically speaking I didn't experience anything "western" until I was 6. :-P
To me communism and the Eastern Block were reality!

I've been having this feeling all week listening to a yearly special on a Dutch radio station "90's request", u start feeling old when they keep repeating how old songs are which you still know from start to end

Cartoons used to rock up until some 8-9 years ago. In that time we used to be watching TV the entire Sunday with just cool cartoons and series enjoying our "after pille dip" :5: .

problem is, all of the good new cartoons get cancelled because the retarded majority don't watch them (Invader Zim and the same will probably happen to Adventure Time with Finn and Jake, I really really hope adventure time continues for ages though).

A quote from a review on IMDB (where Invader Zim has 9.1/10)
Quote:
And to think that all this was canceled, probably to make room for more Spongebob and Jimmy Neutron. The way Nick slowly killed the show through budget cuts and censorship proved they don't want to entertain older viewers like they did in the old days, so in a way the whole channel died with the show.
Hits the nail on the head.

Luckily not. I'll stick to my complete collection of Batman:TAS, Batman:Beyond (yeah, it was good too, not AS good, but still!), Superman: TAS, Justice League (+ Unlimited) and even The Zeta Project and Static Shock. =)

Pretty much the only animated series I'm watching these days are the Venture Brothers. ^^

Batman:TAS, was the fucking tits and still is! Got the boxset and its amazing, the art is fantastic too. I liked beyond, as it followed a similar trend. Do you want to know what ruined the new batman? bruce wayne is fucking happy... and is zipping around like a happy chappy most of the time. DUDE YOUR PARENTS ARE FUCKING DEAD MAN! :ugly: basically ruined it, as there was no motivation to do what he does.

I hate Nickelodeon for what they did to ZIM!, they did the same thing to ren and stimpy too.
