I don't think I could possibly make that judgement unless you're willing to share what context you were using the word in.

For example, if you were saying;

He sure worked that petrol pump homosexually.

Then I think we're good. If however you are using it like;

I grabbed Brad's (I know you're Australian, so I reckon there's a good 99.9% chance you know someone called Brad) hot shaft and started to pump it homosexually.

Then, it might be a little weird... just a little. I'll still think you're OK, but the contingent of fag haters within SpA will probably take a dim view of your conduct, so you might want to watch your back in the future. Just a heads up. :12
