In a decade that saw:

Inception,
No Country For Old Men,
Juno,
The Pianist,
The Hurt Locker,
The Queen,
Million Dollar Baby,
Atonement,
The Social Network,
Babel,
A History of Violence,
Letters from Iwo Jima,
Frost/Nixon,
Walk the Line

That's just big budget stuff from the top of my head a real list would look more like that with this list added in:

The Lives of Others,
Pan's Labyrith,
Vera Drake,
Old Boy,
Survive Style 5+,
Memories of Mastuko,
Let The Right One In,
Persepolis,
Hotel Rwanda,
Paprika,
Primer,
Irreversible,
The Motorcycle Diaries,
An Education,
Holly,
Little Miss Sunshine,
3 Iron,
Spirited Away,
Gosford Park,
City of God,
Kung Fu Hustle.

And of course

Lost in Translation (Good pick Mclusky)

Again from the top of my head, and a glance at the DVD's on the my desk

So in a decade that gave us those films you've picked ten of the worst (including some of the worst films ever made).... words they fail me.

Coulda swore I asked that you not judge my choices...like I said, this is MY opinion only and the list has changed. The Hurt Locker is definitely in there, though I can say I wasn't a fan of Letters from Iwo Jima. You have to realize that I am young and therefore are more attracted to the action-packed, fantasy based movies.

Sorry man, but if you were 12 years old, then that might slide, but you're 17. Your awful taste in movies has nothing to do with your age, and has everything to do with you awful taste.

Seriously, Transformers being one of the best movies of the past 20 years!? You need to check yo'self before you wreck yo'self!

I wrote it there and of all the movies I'd mentioned I had to go find my copy. Stephen Chow still keeps saying that Kung Fu Hustle 2 is on the way too.

Aye, always have to have our wonderful discussions. I kinda set it up to see just how many people WOULD say something. This IS Special Attack after all. You honestly think I would have figured you guys NOT to say something.

Best films for me, err like over the last couple years? I've probably missed some good stuff, but before uni I couldn't afford the cinema, and now there's no cinemas near my uni :x

Here's what I can remember, probably 'cause I rewatched them recently.

Shutter Island
Scott Pilgrim
Coraline and 9 (hope for mainstream animation yet?)
Harry Brown
Rec (first horror for a long time to actually scare me, 2 is shit)
Cloverfield
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I think the worst two films I care to remember because I actually expected something good from them.

Hellboy 2, visuals were fucking stupid, I know people have a real hard on for it, but I preferred him fighting Kroenen the steampunk-esque nazi, rather than giant flowers, golden armies, and fucking wizards. I mean that part where he gets drunk with Abe and they start singing about women problems :x

2012 is just a big show of CGI, and everything else was total bullshit. Like outrunning the ground falling apart, and dodging falling building just in the nick off time, fuck off.

But yeah Crab it's not like they're all bad films, it's just you need to see better ones

Pan's Labyrinth was quality! And after watching it with my housemates in uni, the most retarded of us turns to me and says, "and this is meant for children?" actually i think he said that after the fascist A-hole beats that guy to death with a bottle... or was it a shoe... either way... a deadly weapon!

2012 can blow me... also.

A dark and visually complex fairytale that drifts into magical realism, a great script detailing a the start of a real oppression from the view point of a child. Great acting, cinematography and excellent pacing. I can see why you think its shit.

A genuine fairytale these days with all the darkness and trauma left in. I'd make my kids watch it.

fuck it man, i grew up on proper 80's action movies (you know, where you see the violence, and not just motion blur and CGI wire works) and gruesome horror movies, and turned out just fine!

Sin City :4

Haven't actually posted any videos in this thread, a scene from Tombstone, Johnny Ringo's waiting for an easy showdown with Wyatt Earpp, when a pale Doc Holiday show's up to finish his game.

I like Tombstone but only when Doc Holiday is in it.

I'm sceptical that Sin City is noir, its visual style is but the films to simplistic in its character definitions, its a sledgehammer to a noir nail. However I fucking love noir, so here's two classics and two modern takes.

So you purposefully made a video with some really shit movies, and posted it here, just to get a reaction?

Or you really do think those movies are good, and you knew we would think they were shit, and so decided to post it here?

Or is it actually super secret mystery option number three? You're a little chode.
