I am getting the "Cannot Verify Player Name" message when I try and log into the Freebuild server again. I would like to get back to building quickly...

Was happening to me for the past few days.

It's working now.

However it still remains obvious that Notch still sucks.

if it is a minecraft.net problem, why is SPA FB the only server I can't connect to?

Because the server recognises your ip and allows you to join without having to check your password with minecraft.net
