i can guess that, if you're uninitiated, you're probably thinking something like "these tests are always a load of bull". well, i thought that too - but after doing it and looking into my own type a bit more, i can tell you that it's good. scary good. the initial profile that you'll get are interesting enough, but once you start looking at the actual functions behind the type - introverted intuition, extraverted feeling, blabla etc etc - then you really start to go "damn, so that's why i'm so weird!" (in my case anyway :ugly:)

this particular test type if fairly common, so you might have done it before, but if you haven't then you can try it here - http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp. i'm curious as to what you SpA folks all are, so do share your results :5:

also, because the real life examples are boring*, you can see what fictional characters share your type over on TvTropes. i'm an INFJ, so that makes me like:
Quote:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/J ... sInStories

Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter
Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings
Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Yoda from Star Wars
fck yes i get the coolest jedi knights

so yeah. i'm finding this fascinating, mostly cos it got me really, really right, and i wanna know what you lot are. get to it!

*well, mostly. apparently Hitler was also an INFJ. which actually makes alot of sense!

I'm a ENFP or so it says :D
Quote:
Christopher McCandless from Into the Wild
Ash Ketchum from Pokémon
Martin Prince from The Simpsons
Adam West from Family Guy
Phoebe from Friends
Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes
Naruto from Naruto
Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog
Half of these I don't even get :D but I might be of two different types depending on what my mood is cause a lot of times I felt like answering also the opposite answer :o

ENTP- Took the test in career planning 10.

Alexander the Great
Confederate General J. E. B. Stuart
Sir Walter Raleigh
Thomas Edison

ENTPs account for about 2–5% of the population

I don't like my fellow ENTP's too much, with the exception of Thomas.

INFP - The Healer

I'd say it's pretty accurate. I'm slightly introvert, empathic, a bit of an idealist and intuitive. I also like helping people.
It almost sounds like a horoscope so as an impulse I'd like to denounce it as bullshit, but there are so many variables that can specify your type that it's very likely to describe your personality.
Quote:
Ricky Fitts from American Beauty
Harry Potter and Remus Lupin from Harry Potter
Frodo from The Lord of the Rings
Allison Cameron from House
Luke Skywalker from Star Wars
Balian from Kingdom of Heaven
Evan from Superbad
Marla Singer from Fight Club
Faramir from The Lord of the Rings

Yeah this does seem really accurate....

None of the TVTropes people were any good, but I'm apparently the same type as Marie Antoinette, Yogi Berra, Magic Johnson, Dan Quayle, Paul McCartney, Christopher Reeve, Michael Jackson, John Travolta, and Donald Trump.

I got ENTJ with a 22:25:50:44 strength of preference and its 2-5% of the population. Engineering is one of the jobs suggested for me, what a surprise :ugly: I don't totally agree since I generally don't take charge. Probably answered some questions too quickly.

Napoleon, Franklin D. Roosevelt , Mark Anthony, Sean Connery, Madonna, Yulia Tymoshenko

Lord Voldemort, Sauron, Morgoth or any other villain on tvtropes :demm:

Last year I took that test I was (arguably, 50%-50% I/E)INTP, but now ENTP.

Personality test results

Ta-dah, your personality type is INFP!

Introverted (I) 54% Extraverted (E) 46%
Intuitive (N) 86% Sensing (S) 14%
Feeling (F) 75% Thinking (T) 25%
Perceiving (P) 77% Judging (J) 23%

The polite, reserved exterior of INFPs can at first make them difficult to get to know. They enjoy conversation, however, taking particular delight in the unusual. When INFPs are in a sociable mood, their humor and charm shine through. Disposed to like people and to avoid conflict, INFPs tend to make pleasant company.
Devoted to those in their inner circle, INFPs guard the emotional well-being of others, consoling those in distress. Guided by their desire for harmony, INFPs prefer to be flexible unless their ethics are violated. Then, they become passionate advocates for their beliefs. They are often able to sway the opinions of others through tact, diplomacy, and an ability to see varying sides of an issue.
INFPs develop these insights through reflection, and they require substantial time alone to ponder and process new information. While they can be quite patient with complex material, they are generally bored by routine. Though not always organized, INFPs are meticulous about things they value. Perfectionists, they may have trouble completing a task because it cannot meet their high standards. They may even go back to a completed project after the deadline so they can improve it.
INFPs are creative types and often have a gift for language. As introverts, they may prefer to express themselves through writing. Their dominant Feeling drives their desire to communicate, while their auxiliary intuition supplies the imagination. Having a talent for symbolism, they enjoy metaphors and similes. They continually seek new ideas and adapt well to change. They prefer working in an environment that values these gifts and allows them to make a positive difference in the world, according to their personal beliefs.

ENTP - ENTPs are clever and analytical, often with quick wits and a quicker tongue. They are very good at thinking outside the box, but (like ENFPs) are easily bored, also apparently made up of a large group of people I respect and characters I like in film and TV.

Jung described ENTP as a female personality which may explain a fair bit.
