Why do you want Tekkit so much? Mind you, Tekkit eats a shitload of server resources and client resources alike. I prophesize it would be a farce, since the normal Minecraftian can barely download and install the vanilla SMP client and all...

Have to say, Tekkit's deffinetly worth looking into.

I do have to say, tekkit is both fun and keeps my interest. Sadly, my computer has trouble handling it, and others might have the same problem.

On top of that, can our server handle it? I'm all in for getting more users, but if it uses too much resources then I its not feasible.

We have a new server coming that may - MAY - be able to handle an SMP and a Tekkit server but there are a lot of issues int eh way.

First up - where the fuck are you all? Seriously - SMP is a ghost town and when its not its ass deep in people I have never seen before. Seems more than a bit cheeky to demand a new server from teh group whose current server you are ignoring.

Secondly, Tekkit is an abomination. I don't care how fun it is to play, it is a hack job of the most epic proportions, requiring more power to run than any server other than the disgustingly incompetent DayZ. The chance of us running it very well are slim and the chance of you lot having PCs to handle the client are none existent.

I'm not saying no, I'm just saying think about this.

But, not many communities can offer a decent tekkit server; if we can do that, it might draw in a crowd.

I'm quite powerless to come online (literally, this PC can barely handle an Internet browser) for now, next Monday forwards I'll be back to normal... Some people are just waiting for the new setting, thus not playing on the Temp map. It's weird to see the place full of gray people, though. Not the aliens. Guests. Then again, they're aliens as well...

Don't forget, tekkit is a mod pack that doesn't ask the mod authors if their mod can be included in it. This caused them to lose one of the best mods that was included. Mod developers generally dislike tekkit and if possible they would shoot you if you even mention its name
