Hmm, this was talked a bit about on the bukkit blog, as the bukkit team apparently works "hand-in-hand" with mojang; yet still take weeks to get out a stable build.

I like the idea, but I don't want to have to go through alphas and betas again to get to where we are now just for modders to have an easier time.
