New type of anonymous posting and blogging being worked on called trsst. Has its hopes of being anonymous but simple on the users end. Take a look at it, do you think it could take off?

I like it, but it's very ambitious, looks like they have a long way to go before having a product to show us. I look foward to what they come up with though, I think the make or break for blog sites is the way content is presented and shared. I'm interested in how they're going to handle the way content pops up on your screen from the people you follow in otherwords.

This reminds me of heml.is that the piratebay founders are working on, it's basically just an chat app that uses encryption. Two concerns though.. Obviously this is a perfect platform for anything people feel they shouldn't be doing like hate groups and child porn, which is sort of going on already I suppose. The other is antagonising governments into trying even hard to gain some control of the web.

It's got exactly the right goals but it needs people to pick it up. People aren't willing to step out of their comfort zones on the internet. Instagram went huge because it's flashy and cute, despite it otherwise being dumb and pointless (what does it do that Facebook and imgur don't?); fact is the majority don't give a damn about the government interfering with the internet. Here's hoping it doesn't turn into another Google+

The focus on rss might work out for them, but what it really needs is something flashy and superficial to get a trend going. Better yet if they design it well enough, then that might do it, a lot of blog sites are really flawed. Like some are horrible for video sharing or communicating for instance.
