So far, I find the game awesome.
A lot of stuff that we found irritating in bf4 is changed.

Don't get stuck behind a piece of paper anymore
You can now properly run towards a ledge as high as yourself and climb over it
Vehicles can now drive over stuff that I think you can easily drive over and get stuck behind something that you'd normally get stuck behind as well
Setting points to capture is a lot better
I find the balance between vehicles and infantry a lot better
So far, bullet registration looks alright, guns are alright
More cover present on the field
Graphics look good. Not all kinds of crap flying through your screen (although the storm was majorly handicapping your sight, but that's probably the point)
No glitches or game crashes so far (except for saint, which no one else seemed to have)
Map size looks good. I actually had to walk for 5 minutes one time, dodge bullets and set a stealth path to actually arrive at the point (didn't like the sandy map too much though)
And there are a few more that I already encountered on my few hours of play last night that I can't remember for writing down here.

All in all, this is very promising IMO , let's hope the game get's a few more upgrades and they don't fuck up too much and I'm convinced we're gonna have a blast with bf1

Besides the crashes that apparently only happen to me, I quite like the game too.

One thing they absolutely need to change though is click to zoom, I need this. Hold to zoom is such a bitch to play with!

They'll probably add this. They've had the option in all the other games. I think it's more a problem of getting used to something changing for you. There's no apparent reason why you shouldn't be able to hold down your right mouse button and controll all other controls and movement on your mouse. Just something that is hardly programmed in your muscle memory for gaming that it takes effort to change that. Anyway, I hope for you they'll change it. If not, that only be a small thing that would be bad for the game imo. Easy for me to speak though. I use WASD and have no problem holding right mouse button for zoom. So the game fully corresponds with what I'm used to. Didn't have to change one button last night.

The only place for commenting on game features was the forum that I could found advertised by devs.

so here we go:

https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/di ... m/p1?new=1

https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/di ... r/p1?new=1

Maybe give me a few replies to get the threads alive?

Apparently it is possible and I just didn't find it last night; https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/di ... oom-toggle

Am at work now so can't verify myself, but I really hope it's in there!

I have no idea what WW1 should feel like in a game. You can't really build a game around laying in trenches for the majority of your time, shooting artillery back and forth and every now and then do a massive push.

What I currently mostly like is the less advanced weaponry, but this could also be because a lot of people are low level and soon everything will change into the autofire spray 'n pray clusterfuck as usual.

I'll keep playing it, so far it mostly feels like a massive expansion to BF4 with a whole lot improvements.

Yeah the trenches would be boring so I assume they're exploring all the lesser theatres of WWI. RO2 is closer to what I would imagine it being like. Just running round with the assault class and spraying people down didn't feel very er historic? but I guess it's basically an smg, the auto weapons and machine guns are all styled on old/experimental weapons so they're either inaccurate or have a small clip size. So in otherwords it should end up being less spammy, and more fun? Vehicles should last more than 10 seconds? haha

Lot's can be helped by a better graphics card. Unless your computer is that old that it takes you 5 years to load anyway.

I have a PC that can do the job perfectly, only it's 700km away from where I live with shitty German internet for the next 5 months unfortunately

Personally I probably won't for a while - still loving Overwatch as my main game so I can't justify that much money on it yet. I'll keep an eye for any sales on it though, or I'll take a look again if I get a job and have some extra cash :5:

I saw it :-14 lol, just not playing the game (or many games atm tbh), probably won't be til it goes on sale. It was kinda fun but not £50-plus-DLC-or-however-much-it-was fun.

I would deffinetly try the game again if it was free or cheap, but I didn't like the beta enough to even pay half of what they're asking for. Was good playing with you fellas though, maybe in the future when it's more available like BF3/BF4.

Does Minecraft or something... (1323)

Bud and I purchased the game on Xbox One since we own every other Battlefield game on Xbox. I would consider purchasing it for PC if I ever build the system I keep saying I will.

It's fairly decent but the difficulty curve between BF4 and the new game is remarkable. It's more or less because of the way the maps are laid out, cover is almost required to survive more than ten seconds. Keeping with your squad helps a ton when the squad feels like staying together but most times they just spawn on you and then run off in the opposite direction.

I can pretty much say this is one of the best games I ever played.

I even had a shot at the singleplayer and that blew me away. Mind you, I *never* play single player cause I don't like playing alone, but this.... This is gud.

this game feels much more like 1942 and bf2. All the other battlefields, the big ones, like bf3 and bf4, were no where near what bf2 was as a game. This is game is. You can flank points, use tactics, strategy and you're almost forced to cooperate to get goals and such. That's what drawed me to bf2 all those years. Not a simple shooter but a game that asks for team work, strategy and tactics.

This, I have to agree with. Played it a bit more and it's pretty great.
