google ads is slowing down the forum! (al least at my work atm)

Yeah... currently I have no problem, but GoogleAds or GoogleAnalytics suck sometimes totally. Analytics even made my FF2 crash.

could be the proxy, it's blocking most of the gaming sites you guy's post images from on this forum....

afaik the ads don't slow down the forum. I did notice slowdowns when avatars from external hosts are not availible.

I've noticed this as well on another forum, but only on this shitty computer I'm on right now.
If I have another tab open while I'm loading the site it can take ages.

I think we'll just need to disallow linking of external sources when it comes to avatars and signatures. Once the frontpage is completely intergrated with the forums, we could allow people to upload pic's to add to their signatures.
