I do have COD4 but I aquired it through illegal channels so I can't play on-line. Which is a shame really cause I'd quite like to give it a bash. Shoot some on-line infidels so to speak. Ah well...
Yeah, single player is amazing (but short, like the other CoDs) but the online part is brilliant.
Too bad you can't play online, it's 80% of the game. I considered the Singleplayer more like an interactive movie that functioned as a tutorial for the online mode
Maybe I'll purchase it then when I go to get my new mouse.
There are sections of the singleplayer game, namely the level set in Chernobyl, where the dialogue and subtitles are missing and it's fairly annoying cause it seems like the most exciting section of the game. I basically had to follow Cpt. MacMillan around guessing what he wanted me to do. Many a time I shot guys in the head I wasn't supposed to and blew the mission. Then there's the whole part around the Power Plant. The lack of verbal communication just kills the atmosphere.
So yeah... I'll see if I can pick it up.
