Nah, it isn't contradictory. Valve has a quite flexible company structure and not many permanent employees so if they are running two projects at once they have to share (human) resources and it's no wonder that the stress is now on releasing L4D.

They'll wait for everyone to buy l4d the first months and after its sales stop they will release an update for tf2 to get some more income... :evil:

Man, that sucks. Luckily for me, I haven´t been able to play since the Heavy update, so I still got some stuff to do!

Lim you are the Man!

I've never been that interested in achievements and if Valve think I'm going to spend hours (of what prescious little gaming time I have) trying to kill someone with a taunt then they are mad. Using the different weaps is about strategy and teamwork and you have just opened up all the Heavy weaps fo me. Cheers Lim.

Personally I think they should just give everyone the weaps and keep the achievement separate for those that are interested in them - that would be a nice update.

I don't think this is cheating, after all it doesn't alter the actual game. If anything it makes it fairer by ensuring a level playing field.

Yup - I wholeheartedly agree that Valve should simply keep achievements separate from the weapons - then I'd get them legally for sure - just like I did with the initial achievements before class packs.
But well - since they don't. Steam Achievement Manager, here I come. ^^

I prefer "farm achievements enough for new weapons and get the other normally", I like whole achievement idea but in xbox style, you can do achievs just for fun and theyre not required to unlock any special abilities, and some companys ( R* mostly ) have bloody good achievements :mrgreen:
