I just saw that tribes 2 was reincarnated, here in january and thought i would share it with you if you diddent know it allready!
Its like the godfather to the battlefield series imo

You can download the game from http://www.tribesnext.com/downloads you need to install the game unpatched and then download and install the multiplayer patch.

After that you can login to the game, and create a personal account for your self.

The game is a mix of fps combat, vehicles, ships, capture the flag, and also where you need to kill the other teams generators before you get access to their "command central" or what you call it.

There are 3 armors
Light Armor
Medium Armor
and
Heavy Armor.

You can change your equipment layout using the numpad keys. you can also select diffrent layouts using numpad enter.

you can deploy turrets, sensor mines, cameras and other things.

you can also select diffrent packs your armor has, f.eks clocking, radar jamming, shield genrator and such.

The maps are decent big. you can how ever use vehicles or you can skii across the landskabe by using your jetpack and holding space!! (jetpack mouse2 button)

I can highly recommend you try the game and see if you like it

(there was some sort of tazer gun that would insta kill from behind)
