As Pyro K/d ratio is last stats that matters, since you can score 10 burned opponents in a row and then die 10 times easily from some sniper maggot :mrgreen:

Aiming with the flaregun is very much like aiming with rockets, so I suppose it comes easily for me, since hitting scouts isn't that hard when I used the flare gun. The reason I like it is because it can be pretty much infinite range and if good for defending certain points like the spire on badlands etc. Also its great for spike damage on scouts/snipers/medics/engineers far away from you (flare hit will do ~80 damage if they cant get health, which frequently happens on pubs because medics like to ignore scouts and there are a lot of people trying to get med kits.)

I love to play scout but its aggrevating when the medic is whoring the heavy, who's just getting hit in the face repeatedly with explosives and he aims like he's playing without a screen

Ehm the problem is that you scouts are just too fuckin' nervous! :P
I mean, a pyro burns your ass, you see a medic, you run like crazy around him shouting for medic all the time, it's not easy to catch you with the healing beam then.
Scouts have to chill more, they just have to stand still for one second...but they are sooo overexcited! :roll:

You didnt quite understand me.

I meant, heal me all the time and stay with me and uber me and stuff :lol:

Srsly now, ubercharged Scouts are way too underrated. Given the right circumstances, they can be better ubertargets than soldiers/heavies/demomen.

The flare gun can be quite annoying as medic... at least if only 1-2 medics are around and you have to drop back to fetch a medpack so that you won't get killed by some random splash damage. :(

In addition: What migu said +1. It's hard to aim the healing beam to a hyperactive scout. :ugly:

Sure, I can think of some cases where it actually proves lethal and not just annoying but not enough.

Btw, there is nothing that pisses me off more in this game then getting killed by a pyro. :(

Not true, you dont run towards the sniper spamming flares at them xD You just do pot shots round corners before the sniper knows where you are, if you do the pot shots properly it means that the sniper only has less half a second to see you, then shoot (and get a headshot). If you get a crit flare then the sniper will most likely die, unless they camp a health pack.

Also if the person is far away, running back to get half after retreating from a fight, you can hit him with a flare just before he turns round it, meaning that if he doesn't have over 80 health he will most likely die (unless a medic heals him). Also the impact damage of the flare is 40, so if they have ~50 health they should easily die. Something a shotgun can't do, at the same range the shotgun would do 10-30 damage if your lucky ;)

I have got 5 kpd as pyro by just using flaregun/axtiguisher, and been around the mid/upper part of the scoreboard while doing it.
