Anyone come across the stolen workprint copy of Origins? I'm gonna watch it tonight meant to be really good.

The Necromancer (4970)
Yeah - there is a shitload of different re-codes of the workprint since all the groups try to get all the glory. I wouldn't watch it if you're really interested in the film. The special effects (and music, sound effects) are missing in many scenes so you see the actors jumping around on strings etc.
I find the workprint itself pretty interesting so I'm keeping it but I'll watch the normal movie first - I can watch the workprint afterward for a kind of "behind the scenes" look.

Don't watch the workprint it will ruin the movie for you! I rather watch a TS than a incomplete version anyways people who watched the workprint said it's a good movie :4

This is interesting and you've got me thinking as whether I should watch it or not. Reality is I won't see it at the cinema and would prob wait for a R5 / DVD Scr to come out in 4/5 months time. I don't normally go for TS.

The quality of the workprint is first class but of course haven't seen enough to know if the missing bits effect the overall film enough....

So do I watch it now or wait 5 months - damn not sure.

The Necromancer (4970)
Yeah, exactly my dilemma. I even got the workprint on my HDD. :-P
I'll probably watch it in the cinema - stupid action movies always look better on the large screen - that's why I enjoyed the X-Men series even though most critics have panned it and I'm not even a fan of comics. ^^

Ok I watched it. Definitely worth watching and loads better than a TS.

Theres only about 5-8 minutes of special effects missing. The most is during the final scenes and by then if you into the film it doesn't really make that much difference.

If you don't intend going to the cinema to watch it then I'd recommend watching the workprint
