Gravelpit type map, might be nice to try since Gravelpit is the only (good) 3 capture point map.

That's what I'm hoping, we need the confirmation from the almighty saintk and his group of ultimate map testers.

EDIT: Small open areas with lots of obstacles makes this Engineer haven. Pity most roofs aren't climbable.

Yeah but I hate engineers ;) Especially when they are camping at their own spawn setting up a sentry fortress, then I just kick them for griefing.

If you haven't already, you should have a gander at this map as well, Sawmill-themed, 5 CP map. Despite the authors comments, this stuff is really detailed and well thought-out.

Plays well too

I just gave the thunderstorm map that m3n posted a quick gander, and I have to say I'm very impressed.

aesthetically, it's sweet - very nicely detailed, in the way official valve maps are, yet with a character of it's own; the skybox particularly stands out. the fact that the map is set in a thunderstorm gives it a real sense of atmosphere. how many maps can you name that have an 'atmosphere'? well, this one does, and it's awesome, really draws you in to the point that you don't notice the rest of the detaisl.

in terms of gameplay, it looks promising. it while it does borrow elements from other maps in places (last cp is reminiscent of follower) this map makes it it's own. while it's mostly based on the horizontal, there are some interesting vertical elements that should keep thing exciting, alongside plenty of small rooms and hiding spaces which, while unexpected, don't confuse things and don't make clutter. speaking of clutter, this map doesn't have alot - despite being tight, linear and probably (I'm guessing) quite intense, which is pretty impressive. the main highlight? the middle CP - I know already that the fight in there is going to be madness, as should the open(ish) large(ish) area of open ground between this point and the next one. good, fun madness, that is.

well, there's my mini review. I would highly recommend that you throw in this map as well when you get round to updating the mapcycle; I'm confident it'll pass your infamous 'quality test' ;D

I need to try that one out ASAP, the weather effects sounds awesome, and I like thunder (cept when you have to shut donw your comp :/
Tried out furnace creek for 15 mins or so, looked nice, but didn't get any real feel of it since it wasn't full with players and the short time. But it seems promising.
