I used to grow Sarracenia pitchers (as well as venus fly traps and sundews). Re: household fly removal - the pitcher was (to me) the more robust and more effective of the three in this roll. Plus you could see the silhouettes of the flies etc. struggling as they fell in. They are not prone to being wrongly triggered as the venus fly traps do and sundews struggle to hold more than greenfly (ants struggle but can usually walk free eventually - the "glue" is just not that sticky!).
