It is! It's the Mago style! I'm SO playing like Mago, in fact I'd like to meet him and exchange notes on tactics - I bet it would be mutually beneficial

That's not talent. That's just Sagat's metagame >__>

Also, all the Sagat's play like Mago. It's just that Mago is the best at executing the playstyle :-P

Let's agree on the fact that I beat both of you.

Got me some Guilty Gear XX #Reload, it's pretty fun...except the insta-kill crap :D

I hope Chun's hard trial #2 dies horribly in a fire.

I can do her #3 and #4 pretty easily (tried in training mode), but this fucking stupid impractical #2 prevents me from doing them.

Ha, ha - this is probably like Gen's *something-trial* (it's a NORMAL one), which requires you to do a complete air-kick sequence, which requires stupid-ass timing. Sure, I could find out the timing but I thought to myself that acquiring this skill would be a complete waste of time, considering how Gen is a gimmick character.

Yea, I know about that Trial. It's Gen normal trial #2. I was also about to smash my stick into the monitor until I found out that it also works with just the LK Gekiro which has 2 kicks less until the final juggle which makes it a bit easier.

And if you think about Gen as a joke character, I invite you to watch this video of Jibbo who is playing as Gen and manages to look quite good against Daigo ;P

Daigo has no clue how to play against console only characters which he confirmed in a recent interview - Justin Lame of course tried exploiting that in the Season's Beatings and got his ass handed to him with Fei Long.

I'm not going to suggest anything here, I just wanted to link the video for reasons of research.

Does it really matter though? He still had a hard time against a supposedly weak character.

This supposedly weak character recently pwned pretty much all the other American players. ^^
Justin Wong took abusing the one or two decent moves Fei Long has to the extreme and yes, knowing the match-up does matter for such a high level of play. In fact Daigo lost the Winners Bracket Final and said to have semi-forfeited the fight to analyze what Fei Long is like in SFIV to come back in the Grand Final, which he did, the space robot he is.

I do know that matchup knowledge plays a big role, but what I'm trying to say is that playing with a weak character still doesnt mean that you can only win matches by utlizing this only advantage - having the matchup knowledge. Like some months ago, after TKD (or was it Tetsu?) won the TRF tourney with Elf, I do believe quite some people looked at that matchup but still Tetsu (or TKD respectively) managed to win the next TRF tourney afterwards with the exact same character ;P

Tool assisted? Bah, I perform combos like these manually - in fact they stole some of my SFIII and SFIV training vids. ;-)

Fuck yes I finally got that stupid Chun-Li Hard Trial #2.

Pretty embarrasing though, after trying it endless times i was thinking "Maybe not doing the j.HK to deep makes linking the cr.MK after LK legs easier"... and voila, got it after the 3rd try -___-

Ofc, #3 and #4 took me like 1 minute altogether ^^

And 5th 3mins XD

EDIT: My e-penis grows with every day. Hard Trials of Honda, Dan and Akuma q:

Yeah, and ZxS' favorite Ibuki a.k.a. Shitty Pants, as he likes to call her. :-P

I bet they'll suck in that game anyway. They cannot put everything Makoto or Ibuki have in 3s into SF4 without doing major changes to it (read: making it suck balls), which will make them anything but the original chars that people liked in 3s.

Especially since SFIV is so fireball-zoning heavy and Ibuki and especially Makoto are more close-combat oriented characters, the former being quite slow too. Ibuki might have an easier time getting in but I fail to see how Makoto fits into the roster. Yeah, she was great in SFIII but the meta-game in SFIV is completely different.

Yeah, previously she was SUCH a hottie, wasn't she? ;-)

All in all I greatly approve of the characters they ported. SFIII was such a cool game and they chose original fighters with unique styles. Dudley is like a non-charge Balrog (well, not really :-P) so it will be fun to find out who's better.

The only other character they might have considered porting over was Elena though she was a bit shitty. She had nice legs though. :-D

P.S. I bet they didn't port over Yun because he was so ridiculously overpowered and it'd be hard to not make him so. I mean - c'mon - Chun and Yun were at like +33 and +31 in the tiers while the next fighters were at +22 and +17. And people are complaining about balance in SFIV... Other than Sagat the characters are only one or two match-up points away from each other so it's hard to even set arbitrary tier boundaries.

Yun was a good fighter only because of his Genei Jin Super Art which charges up fast and enables him to juggle the other fighter for up to 50% health (depending on the char) until the bar runs out. If you didn't have his character-specific juggles down, Yun was not to be considered anywhere near the top. Chun was good because of her pokes (which are still good) and because she had arguably the best Super Art in the game (her current Super and Ultra are mediocre compared to other fighters --> she's not godlike anymore :) ).

Also, being shit/good in another game doesn't necessarily mean being shit/good again in SSF4. Best examples would be Zangief (worst char in ST, high tier in SF4) and Vega/Claw (high tier in ST, utter garbage in SF4)

Oh, some cool new videos from eventhubs.com

From what you can tell from these movies, they still have most of their moves and combos from 3s with pretty much the same attributes. Dudley has some kind of new move which looks very similar to Honda's Buttsplash. Makoto's Karakusa command grab looks stupid right now - hope they improve that one. Ibuki still has her 5 hit normal move chain combo. It probably won't do as much damage as in 3s because of the damage scaling but I suppose it could do a lot of stun, plus the dash up afterwards opens some mixup strategies.
And Makoto's Super is her SA3 - Tanden Renki - where she turns red and deals MUCH more damage. Couple that with her Seichusen Godanzuki Ultra and voila, you get an instakill on low stamina chars if they don't block :D

I bought Mass Effect 2 for my Xbox last night, and playing it made me realise how much I've missed lounging on my bed playing games.

I'll be buying Super Street Fighter IV. And I've decided to make an active effort to get my mates round to game like back in the day, so there should be plenty of ass kicking's on and off the screen! :63 :7 :50

Guy looks like the character for me.

EDIT: Actually, after watching those video's, I think Dudley looks a lot more effective. :D

Or maybe just the sight of somebody giving Sagat a beating excites me......

Dhalsim, Ryu and Akuma are Sagat's "worst" matchups. Given, you know what to do and your execution is top-notch :P

In Soviet Russia Sagat has bad match-ups! :-D

BTW - McMoist only hates Sagat so much because until SSFIV comes out his favorite character is/was Zangief - an absolutely retarded-level imbalanced match-up for Sagat. ^^
