I installed office again and now it only opens .docx, .doc only opens when i first open word itself thenopen it throug word! is there a way to fix this? i just wanna dubble click a doc!

btw i ran office diognostic app no problems showed up

XP: Open any folder and then go to the folder options, I think there should be a tab to set the file associations.

7: Enter "extension" in the search box and click the "change the filetype associated.." thing.

Then associate the .doc with the programm of your choice. That should do it.
