SpecialAttack.net :: So what have you already found?

According to my stats getting all the items required 45 hours of gameplay since I hadn't played TF2 before the update at all - at least not during the past few weeks.

And 50% of that time idling on achievement_idle :P

Perhaps, but more likely 20%, your point being? You don't get unlocks faster on achievement_idle, so the stats are still valid.

Oh btw, the ambassador could possibly be quite a cool weapon - if it wasnt still bugged^^

I just did a little testing on my own (special thanks to bot01 for his help) and came to the to the conclusion that a headshot with the ambassador doesnt deal any additional damage at all - bot01 who was a medic always died after 4 shots, no matter if it were 4 bodyshots or 4 headshots.

Whilst you might not get acheievements any faster on "achievement idle" It a good map to have running when you've got work or whatever

I'm happy if the spies have to decided which item they use and when none is a must-use. I also change between Sascha and Natascha or Medigun and Kritzkrieg depending on map and mode. If DR is better on 2shit and normal thingy on other maps... yeah... I'm fine with it.

I care little for the normal cloak or for DR..but the C&D man o'man what feelings and memories it brought up. Remember those games whre you'd be lurking the same corner for minutes in a row studying the enemie's every movement, memorising patrol routes, setting up devious plans from the shadows and then waiting to strike at the perfect time? Like in Commandos, Thief or Splinter Cell. God I love tha feeling. I'll definetly be playing some more spy with it. Though it does happen that I get so into observing the enemy(<3 the lil voyeur freak in me) that I actually forget to kill people. :<

Hah - I know some people will be jealous but I finally got my last missing unlock, the Razorback - but not before getting a second Jarate and a third Sandman. ;-) According to my stats getting all the items required 45 hours of gameplay since I hadn't played TF2 before the update at all - at least not during the past few weeks. Perhaps we could collect some data how long it took each one of us to "get there"?

I found every weapon, including 28 sandviches. 2 Ambassadors, 2 razorbacks, 1 Jarate, Bunch of crap I already had, 2 Hunts men 4 Cloaks And Daggers (LAME) and 1 dead ringer... yeah I'm that lame

The Ambassador now does full critical hits on headshots, instead of mini crits <- dont know , i havent used it yet(sounds good) The Dead Ringer now fully drains the cloak meter, even if the Spy leaves cloak early <- shitty Fixed Spy disguise menu not being visible in HUD minimal mode <- ok, i never used the min hud Server log improvements: ... Identified feign deaths in the events sent to server logs

At long range it does but seriously - 3 headshots to kill even a Sniper if you're lucky (considering the bullet traveling speed, the fact that the Sniper would notice and the long pause between shots you need to take). The Spy shouldn't turn into a Sniper alternative but I think the way the Ambassador works needs a complete overhaul. Perhaps do without all the accuracy bullshit and simply make this into a Revolver that mini-crits from behind but does less damage up-front? However, I'm still annoyed by people who were joining teams on these servers since they, in turn, increased the TF2 memory usage... Seriously - joining a team or using scripts for automatic shooting/running around does NOTHING. You can just sit in spectator mode and even have TF2 minimized. I'm the living proof of that since I got the C&D, Jarate and Razorback precisely in this manner. Luckily it's over for me now. ^^

After probably a mixture of idling and playing I got every item after about 60 hours (very rough estimate, could be as much as 70), mostly idling. Just got the razorback today and got the hunstman late last night. The huntman is the only one I wanted after they destroyed the ambassador, and it is awesome. The Sheriff of Nottingham has been kicking Robin Hood(s) good.

Left it idle tonight on achievements_idle and i got another sandvich and the axtinguisher... I hope that Valve implements trading soon I really want a Huntsman! Plus an Ambassador if it is any good now, been playing spy lately(not on SPA the servers do not need any more noob spies) and it's actually quite fun! Is the dead ringer shit now post-fix?
