Is this any different to any fps shooting - including MW2 or TF2. Getting spammed by drones or nades in MW2 is no different, or like Saint says pipebombs in TF2.

Again Snipers are old news - no one really liked Snipers in Counterstrike, but they were and are necessary to FPS shooting. Also everyone secretly likes a bit of camping with a sniper.

Saint, Crovax and myself had a great hour or so on BFBC yesterday, especially as we were also on mumble - Crovax/Saint I now have a new headset you will be glad to here :-)

i dont like to camp and snipe (very often) its a bad idea.

It is different, cause in this game you are rewarded with more points and thus faster levelling up if you DONT care about your team and objectives and just go frag hunting - bonus for completing objectives gets you less points than long range sniper shot, and pin for winning the map is worth 200 pts :lol:

I know all that, but the fact is most players dont care about objectives, cause they can make a lot more points by just killing ;) 100 points for destroying mcomm or 80 for flag capture is a joke, that should be 1000 and 800 to encourage people to complete objectives.

Trick is defending/killing people around the M-Com if you want to score loads of points. You get points for the kill, points for defending the m-com and points for multiple defenses of the m-com. If people are too stupid to realise that, well thats their fault.

Too be honest I haven't had too much trouble with recons or tube noobs. My Carl Gustav usually wins, and just don't stand too close to walls that might get blown into your face. And thats just from playing solo.

Playing with Saint and Jedi a couple of days ago.... the game turned into awesomesauce, with usually having a good spawn point and the game lends itself to tactical approach of the objectives... Was making a great game even more amazing.

Oh and Recons and noobtubes are laughable anyhow, rate of fire is low and they pose little threath overall in my experience. I am more annoyed by medics than any other class tbh.

Yeap was good

Saint as Assault laying out the ammo
Corvax as Engie - taking down the tanks
Me as Medic - reviving and healing.

Scored more points in those games we played than nearly any other.

Well the problem arent recons in other team, I dont care if there are 16 of them, I can handle them with. Problems start when there are 10 recons in your team, and youre trying to attack mcomm/take flags with 3-4 guys :/ M60 and m1911 are very annoying, I hope they'll nerf it, so they will perform more or less like other LMG's and pistols. LMG's need more recoil, now you can practically full auto the whole clip with good accuracy.

Tanks are imba! Scored shiteload of points earlier today with Jedi. I was manning the machine gun and playing tank commander/repairman and Jedi was driving and shooting the main gun. We got in the tank and managed to keep it alive through every stage of the rush map while seriously racking in the points slaughtering the russians. We had some great teamwork in the tank and I think we were key in securing victory for our team.

A bit of coordination of actions and keeping eachother up to date on what you are thinking to do next really opens up the door to amazing results.

The secondary machine gun on tanks is far more usefull against infantry than driver's machinegun :lol:

Uhm?

Jedi was driving and shooting the big gun, I was giving him directions and firing the machine gun thats standard on the tank. I am a bit unsure what you are trying to say in your post...

Secondary gun you refer to the vehicle upgrade specialisation or the MG that the second player has control over? Jedi just had the big gun and not that extra MG upgrade.

Yes extra MG on tank is crap, takes like 10-15 hits to kill someone. Extra weapon on light tanks is great though since it gives you tow missile.

Playing with Crovax as the gunner was the best tank round I've played by a mile. Don't think we actually died and racked up 43 kills between us.

I think we died once, when I had just joined the server and spawned in your tank it blew up 2 seconds afterwards :P. But after that we managed to keep the same tank from start to finish of the Rush map we were playing, which is quite a feat.

I absolutely love vehicles in FPS games though. Always loved driving, gunning, spotting in Planetside (Seriously the most awesome FPS with vehicles ever... untill they released a crap expansion)

It depends on your first few games - when it was launched it was so buggy it took about 20 tries to join any server, where you usually got kicked from random punkbuster error or game crash :ugly: Now its much more stable, but still if you join a game you can get noobtubed 10 times in a row which can make you uninstall it :mrgreen:

and tbh, I have gotten more frustrated by crits in TF2 than by anything in battlefield bad company. I think bart just sucks and runs into 40mm grenade launchers :ugly:

btw if you go play bad company 2, please please please come on mumble and go to the battlefield channel.

If you aren't on there I just assume you are playing singleplayer and will never join you. Of course wether you want me to join you is a whole different matter :ugly:

im tempted to play the SP, im an advocate of single player, plus hopefully show me the ropes. but noted mate, ill make sure i come online, well, unless frosty tells me to piss off and takes me out of the channel. :ugly:
