Parasite Eve

EDIT: Too tough?

It's a game for the PS1. It might look kiddy, but I wouldn't recommend letting young children play this game due to very foul language.

Ok...it was published by Midway and developed by good ol' Psygnosis.

Kinda forgot about this thread. ;-)

It's Team Buddies and I don't know the game. :-D

However, it's time to roll out the screenshot I've been longing to post:

Hmm... the gfx look like Homeworld...

Nope. Way older than Homeworld. The graphics were indeed quite groundbreaking for that time. =)

Hmm... hard to findout without HUD and "Tripoli" doesn't make any >click<.

Looks like a bunch of space games. I would exclude any StarWars game as the style doesn't match. And if it's way older than Homeworld, it's not Freespace. Perhaps Privateer? Haven't played that so much. The "Tripoli" thing could also be something from WingCommander. At least the font could match. Hmm... they are all looking so similar. :/

Please give a 2nd screen. :)

Yes, it's a SpaceSim but I assure you that this one stands out from all of them it's fun to play even nowadays although you might need a glide wrapper. =)

OK - a bunch of more characteristic screens:

Seriously - if you're a fan of SpaceSims and haven't played this game which, even though universally praised, didn't get as much attention from gamers, get it right now. =)

Independence War: The Starship Simulator, and no, I have not played the game. :)

I think I'll stick to my Playstation (oops, free hint) games:

Pff... never heard of that game or the German title (just checked mobygames)... I think it wasn't really popular in Germany.

Oh yes, it was - it was know as "I-War" (as in the rest of Europe), however.
That is - it was popular to a certain extent because I already said that it didn't get the attention it deserved in general...

Ironically, I even bought that game in Germany after having seen the awesome 14-minute intro being displayed on a huge TV-screen in a special stand dedicated to this particular title in Karstadt, I believe.
