That pretty much rules out the possibility that I watched the movie in question - not because I don't listen to hip-hop but because I only watch good movies. :-D

Wait, Will Smith is a rapper and I like him... OK - ignore all of the above. :-P

No idea - it has a rating of 25% on Rottentomatoes, like I guessed, and hence I didn't watch it. :-P

LOL! Because it is actually the actor who played him in the movies. ;-)

So, my turn? I'm too impatient to wait for sebas to confirm my guess (especially since I confirmed my theory by finding the exact same picture :-P).

I'll take another old movie since most new ones have easily recognizable lead actors so the only option would be to NOT post the main characters but this, on the other hand, can be too difficult to guess.

Basically these three images tell the plot of the movie in question. It's French, by the way. ^^

Ah - I'm not one of the guys who think that every old classic is automatically awesome but I watched this movie several times throughout the years and found it to be very good even at this day and age.

Ah - the lead actor (very famous):

Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The movie edition

OK - hint time.
I'll give you the plot summary for the film, which might lead you to its title:

Some workers without prospects in a small South American town suddenly get the opportunity to make considerable (for them) amount of money and get out of this hell-hole when a fire breaks out on an oil field owned by the company that controls most of the land around. The inferno can only be extinguished by an explosion (yes, that is a potential way of extinguishing such fires) and hence six drivers are sent out in three trucks loaded with the extremely volatile explosive nitroglycerin.
Long story short: two trucks explode, the co-driver of the remaining one dies from injuries sustained in a dramatic accident and the protagonist arrives safely at the site only to plummet to his death on his way back because of reckless driving (after evading so many dangers before). What a happy movie. ^^
