its about a kid who's father is a karate teacher and promotes non violent aproaches to problem solving. his kid (on the picture) on the other hand likes bruce lee and his jet kun do and believes in fighting back. they change city to run away from problems.

another huge martial artist also enters this movie.

*sigh*

"no retreat, no surrender". Van Damme is in it. the kid prays in bruce lee's grave for help, and a bruce lee's ghost appears to train him.

Hint:
It takes place in the 20th century.
Also there is a dead body involved in that scene. :)

It's "Last Tango in Paris"

Author:  katonczyk [ 05 Dec 2008, 15:45 ]
Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The movie edition

Wrong :)

K, another bunch of hints:
Those guys are soldiers and that girl is from playboy.

That scene was not included in original movie, only in director's cut version (more popular than the original now).

Also: Saigon. :)

Don't tell me it's Apocalypse Now? 0_o

I don't remember this scene. Perhaps because I watched the original cut several times and didn't bother to memorize the "Redux" version, which I only saw once in the cinema.

I still think the original cut is better and I like the ending better as well (it's more open to interpretation although Francis Ford Coppola explained his intentions several times (which I don't care about since everybody is free to interpret a piece of art as he pleases - even differently from the author's concept)).

Indeed Apocalypse: Now :)

Author:  DrMcMoist [ 05 Dec 2008, 18:29 ]
Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The movie edition

Oh shit I remember that scene now!

The Redux was long as fuck, and that scene wasn't exactly brilliant anyway...

Still. Great film.

This one should be easy:

The main star is visible in this shot - you all know him, he's just a bit harder to recognize in this outfit. ^^
