EDIT: on reading this back, with all of howard's criticism and opinions, i dont think i ever just turned round and called him names; only just offered counter points and corrected him when he was wrong. I respect howard and people willing to give honest opinions that show a passion for personal preference. An insult is just a weak counter argument. |

EDIT: I will get another link for the UK uncut MP trailer video when its on you tube - as the yank one i found on gametrailers has been censored and ruined by some idiot cowboy. New Trailer for MP - all modes. (bit of a rushed job for me  ) [watch it in HD please ]As of this post's time stamp AVP is no#1 on Gametrailers.com for all platforms. As much as a i agreed with the gamespot guy, it was actually the first time i had heard of the company really, or checked out the site - im pretty sure though, like Edge, Gamespot are probably more into RTS and RPG/JRPG games. I dont really care about reviews (no offence Lim) except yahtzee's, because, a) game reviews are subjective b) the abilities of the reviewer might not suit the game c) numerical scores just seem retarded, you are giving a subjective opinion a qualitative numerical value - i guess its just for people too lazy to read someone's thoughts (this is why reviews shouldn't have scores, so people actually read the review.) PLUS both official Playstation and Xbox magazines gave it a 8 and a 9; and i've heard of xbox and playstation.... anyway: MP TRAILER: .............................................................>>>......You see this thing here that says 360p - change that to 720p so you can see it properly... unless you are Bart, in that case let me know what you think of the video when it loads in a weeks time...

PC metacritic looks ok right now, plus thats the only game platform i care about, as the pc will always trump any console. plus avp on the pc has better textures, and rendering. im just not looking forward to the gametrailers video review, and the zero punctation one.....

Uuuuuuhm... Dude, GameSpot is one of the oldest and largest video game portals launched in 1996. How could you NOT have heard of GameSpot? They're one of the most visited websites (regardless of content) globally. It's like being on the Internet and never stumbling upon porn. 0_oI'm not saying that this makes their opinion more valid but your ignorance is immense - especially with the genre assumptions. They have huge offices with dedicated reviewers for all kinds of genres. |

Lim when you were looking at gamespot, i WAS looking at porn as it seemed like a better waste of my time than reading a review of a subjective art form. And its not ignorance at all, as i said, i dont give a shit about reviews or reviewers, the only review i care about is the one i make, im not a child or some idiot that needs someone else to tell me what to buy and think then wrap it all up for me a put a big shiny gold star on it. No thank you. Which is why i really respect Yahtzee as he does reviews properly, i.e. doesn't care and has a nice healthy rant, and no stupid retarded pointless score number! Plus if you watch the gamespot video, as in actually watch it, you can clearly see the guy is shit and cant even aim ffs, so some GENIUS down at gamesp...whatever the fuck its called, thought they would get some one who is used to review DS games about walking a puppy to play it. |
