nice system nab, although i disagree on the onboard. I just hate onboard soundcards, get yourself an xfi idd. For the rest I have my doubts on the psu, but i went for massive overkill on psu, just to be sure. The 600w would suffise, but if you'd want to hook up a 2nd 4870 you'd be screwed and would have to buy a new psu. Next to that, I really like to settle for A brands and spend some more. Headset, sennheiser 350 psu, tagan 900w HDs, 2x raptor etc ![]() Now I want solid state disks ![]() |

I'll throw mine in the mix, but it doesn't really measure up to some of the firepower already posted... *drools* Case: Cooler Master Centurion 534 Black CPU: Intel Dual Core E2180, oc'ed to 3.0 ghz CPU cooling: Akasa AK-965 fan GPU: 8800gt 512mb (whoo!) I'm lead to believe it's IDE o_0 Mouse: was a £5 logitech, now a MX518 ![]() Keyboard: G11 Monitors: 22" LG-dunno-what that's also a TV with freeview. it has horrible sound and no headphone slot ![]() OS: Vista home premium x64 Power supply: was some old cooler master cheapo with a crappy fan, replaced it with a corsair 450w and <3 it Speakers: Logitech X-140 (great for the price) Mic: no idea, something cheap headset again from logitech. I don't use the headphones, just the microphone. as well as wireless adaptor PCIe card and a PCIe card that gives me more usbs, which I didn't need to use cos the motherboard has loads as it is. oh yeah, runs tf2 at solid 60fps with everything maxed. |

Heheh, Voegel'... I think our PC's are Cousins! That's some very similiar specification. Brands are different in a few things, but I think the end result is pretty close! I've gotta say though, there's something ASTOUNDINGLY out of place... In fact, I'm actually amazed your PC boots up at all, never mind plays at 1080p 16x AA.......... 450W PSU :S A 285GTX actually takes up 204w all on its own, and its recommended to run on at least a 550w on a less "full" system than yours... Phenom aswell?!? :S Hehehe ![]() |

Post subject: | Re: What's your gaming rig? |
So we two are related somehow...hihi. Yes I was impressed that my PC uses that "few" power. I searched for a pssive power supply because the water cooled ones are way too pricy. And the best and highest one I could find just had those 450 watts. But before that I had 8800GT SLI with a 470 watt power supply. |
