Perhaps, perhaps... (as Hercule Poirot used to say - if you read any novels then you'll know what this means =)

OK, since it's my turn I decided to post something that will be probably impossible to guess. ^^

One word in advance: these are only PARTS of a screenshot and they're both VERY deceiving and characteristic for the title in question. ^^
This topic got far too fast-paced for my liking so I'll let this one brew for a day or so (unless someone guesses the game)...

It's one of my favorite games EVER in this genre - it makes you roll on the floor laughing all the time. :-D

I installed it specifically to take some screenshots for ya... I'll post the full versions later on to show you why they're so deceiving and some more screenshots tomorrow or something. =)

Ha! HELL YES! I thought it might be more difficult! Are you by any chance a fellow Zork player or did you get hold of the screenshots before I censored them?

Although it's your turn I'll post the other screenshots to show why I was deceiving people "not in the know". =)

Image Image Image Image

Big surprise! It isn't a text adventure at all although the first games in the Zork series were. =)

Get hold of this title by any means. It contains some of the most (weirdly) logical puzzles I've ever seen and very few of the pixel-hunting, fetch-quest or "try everything on everything" type. Simple example: you have a spell that makes purple things invisible (LOL!) and there is an Infinite Corridor in front of you - if you enter it, you're doomed. However, the sign ABOVE the corridor says "Infinite Corridor" in, attention, purple letters. You see where I'm going with this? ^^

I googled it. The text sort of made it easy. Old game, bottomless pit get married goes a long way and a few clicks later I got it.

Does that make me evil?

Should be done in a jiffie I think.

Most definitely... :-(

You made baby Jesus cry... I should have posted text-less screenshots instead. :-(

the purple pikmin makes me say pikmin 2
but I dunno the current game~

Post subject:  Re: Guessing games: The game edition

WRONG its not pikmin 1 or 2

I was hoping people would fall for the trap I carefully planted. Look at the screenshot again, and you'll see its not pikmin

You blabed (?) this when you wrote "it's part of a screen". All text adventures I know run in fullscreen. :P

Might and Magic 4 - the misspelled "Insane Begger" tipped it off. ;-)

Swords of Xeen?

EDIT: Damn, just picked the first one with the same interface =I
EDIT2: If we're being specific I think it's Clouds of Xeen :)

Swords of Xeen was only an extension of the "Xeen" trilogy. (M&M III, IV and V)

By the way - how is your progress with "The Mark"? :-P
Don't you think for a second that I will forget about it. ^^

Dude. Stop cropping your screenshots so only part of it can be seen. That's cheating.

Yup. Very cool game. I didn't crop the screenshots - I've taken them straight from the developer's website...

You didn't answer my second question though. :-P

The one I was about to post last time:

By no means an unknown game.

Well, I want to be able to devote enough time to this magnificent piece of software, which I can't because I'm leaving home once again tomorrow for some concerts.
Don't you worry though, I promise I will chronicle my epic journey after I've headbanged my braincells to oblivion. (about 2 weeks from now)

Grandia, right? God, I knew I played or seen the game somewhere (recalled the girl with this funny pet-thing) but yet again it took me quite a bit of research to "remember" the title.
