Nice. I had just finished all of Dhalsim's hard ones a while ago and it felt good...unfortunately I still suck with him though. |

Okay, I've played Rog for the last few days almost exclusively now (training combos etc)- and I do fully not understand this character ![]() I mean, I'm getting defeated by some random Ryu when playing Rog, and as soon as I started using Chun-Li (who I didnt play with for quite a few days) I raped him. Seems that everything I can do is mash kick buttons and Ultra through fireballs - it's so annoying. I want to learn different chars but I fail with every character. Maybe staying with one is the best option for me... |

I felt like posting something so yeah, here is a trailer of all the until now confirmed new chars in Super Street Fighter 4 (4 more should follow according to some somewhat trustable sources). Still hoping for Makoto ^.^ [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XM1LpLC7 ... r_embedded[/youtube] |

The pro way of doing it is KPKK though, newb ![]() |

Nope. If the enemy is in the middle of the screen you do the Kick Ultra all the way through, otherwise it will whiff - the juggle setup is different to the way you'd normally connect the Ultra for maximum damage. NOOB RIGHT BACK AT YOU!

You could at least let me try proving the opposite by starting the effin' game for once instead of only watching the Japanese guys play ![]() |

I tried it out myself and confirmed that KPKK is correct. :-P |

Post subject: | Re: [SF4] Street Fighter IV |
If you start the ultra (way) too early you will not get the important hits with KPKK outside of a corner after an EX bhb. It's situation dependant, but yeah, kpkkk generally is your best bet for juggled. |

I rarely have the problem of activating my specials too early ![]() |

Post subject: | Re: [SF4] Street Fighter IV |
BTW - in the corner you have to juggle with the Ultra differently - PPKKK. ^^ |

Post subject: | Re: [SF4] Street Fighter IV |
No you dont. I just tried it. Just stop activating your Ultra when the enemy is scratching the rooftop. Wait a little bit instead. EDIT: It does even do the same amount of damage. Opponent fully in corner & 100% health, jab dash overhead, cr.lk XX HP headbutt into Ultra does 437dmg with both kpkk and ppkk. I'd show a video doing it but my PC is heavily struggling with displaying 60fps at anything other than 640x480 and everything at low. My dojo consists of a black void with 8 white lines. |

Post subject: | Re: [SF4] Street Fighter IV |
I know that it's not really safe to throw out randomly unless its an EX maybe but I just took it for reference. It sometimes is good if you've done the EX upper loop for some time cause it will reset the combo (thus the damage scaling) and people that are being comboed by the EX upper loop usually go into crouch block mode because 1) If one of the EX uppers would whiff, you wouldnt be hit 2) People are too afraid of getting baited into throwing out a random reversal SRK unless theyre total scrubs. Also, if you call THAT link hard, I feel sorry for you ![]() And how can you NOT confirm the headbutt after the overhead? It's not like you recover instantly from it. I feel like theres enough time to confirm the hit (besides, you can just press LK after the overhead since it will only connect if you've hit with the overhead anyway, else you're at a huge frame advantage and you will get punished anyway q: ) I also know that you dont have to be in the corner to juggle with the combo mentioned above (no matter which one, Jab, Strong or Fierce. I just mentioned that as well cause you stated the KPKK Ultra doesnt juggle properly in the corner). |

Post subject: | Re: [SF4] Street Fighter IV |
I meant the link is hard-ish as in: if you fail the timing on the LK link the Headbutt will come out automatically on block since it's canceled from the cr.LK (or cr.MK for that matter) - if you mess this up, even if it's nowhere near the difficulty level of 1-frame links, you will be fuuuuuucked, whereas multiple links of e.g. jabs make sure you have plenty of confirms before going into the unsafe move. |

Guess who just completed all of the Boxer's trials. ^^ And who can get the B&B Ultra setup 9/10 times even with eyes closed (actually this might even be easier since you just concentrate on rote key presses ;-). Don't even try to follow in the footsteps of the master himself, Relentless. Get good with some other Chun-Li-like turtle characters. ^^ Update: Oh, Blanka's trials too - man, they were easy. 0_o I guess in the past I was too scared to attempt to beat some of the trials. Now they seem much easier after I grasped the basics and all the characters pretty much repeat them just with slightly different timings. |

Guess who did it 2 weeks ago.And Ryu's. And Sim's. And Bison's. And Abel's until 4. And Akuma's until 4. and Blanka's until 4 (okay, you have an edge here ![]() and Gief's until 4. and Rufus' until 4. Rog's hard trials weren't exactly hard though. The last one just was a bit annoying because for some reason, whenever I tried the j.RH, st.RH, cr.LK xx EX upper, I would always get a EX Dash Grand Smash. Funnily enough, if I fooled around in training mode with the EX Upper loop, I would always get an EX upper or at least a normal one (effin' sensitive Sanwa buttons ![]() |

Last time it was 5:4 and I haven't even used Sagat for most of the fights, in fact I used characters I haven't ever played before like Guile or the Dictator! And that after a 3 month break! You have to grind for your skills - I have the natural Daigo-like talent! :-P |
