I actually kind of want the Beak. What do you want for it, I have a few hat type things I'll trade, and I have a paintrain. Not sure what an "Ulla" is though. http://www.tf2items.com/id/infp |

Is there any difference between vintage items and normal items? |
Author: | [SpA]MrOrange [ 02 Jan 2011, 11:43 ] |
Post subject: | Re: Trading |
Vintage items are rarer because they don't drop anymore. All items that have been found before a certain update are now called vintage. They'll become increasingly rare as people use them for crafting etc. |

But no difference except of the name, right? |

NO ![]() but yeah, they are just an easy way of getting new weapons you want, because some people collect them. |

Post subject: | Re: Trading |
I still don't get it. Why would the vintage stuff be better for crafting, they're all the same surely? |

Post subject: | Re: Trading |
They are more rare, so people (mostly collectors) will give more items for a vintage item. Vintage has are even more valuable, as they will also become increasingly rare. It's pretty much the same reason why e.g. gold is so expensive. Gold in itself is just a soft shiny metal, but it's expensive because it's rare. |

It being highly non-reactive helps as well. But yah, the are rare in the fact that the word vintage will be rare, as in, it is stupid. Then again, I bought keys to open festive winter crates, so I'm stupid as well. |

I do not find playing with faeces very addictive, but then again, I don't find the TF2 store so addictive either. |

Seriously, Valve has probably made more money with ingame items than with the game itself.
