Generally, you can see the bullet tracers.
Nothing is less fun than just dropping dead without any indication of what killed you and from where. |

Not when they're buried in your face ![]() I played a bit more and am starting to enjoy it, but mainly because I can now kill people that suck even more than me. |

lol Orange, it's all about tactics, today me and 4 randoms grouped up and made a squad and moved around as a team, 1 of us was the designated digger/builder while the other 4 were giving cover, also we had always 1 of us scout a bit ahead. All this just pkaying with random ppl, it was quite fun ![]() Other than that, I normally play it as if I'm playing metal gear solid, sneaky sneaky and then boomheadshot, and they'll never know from where I came coz I leave no traces (cover my tunnels) lol |

Can't connect to the Specialattack server somehow. something about version mismatch or failed map transfer. |

When your being shot at their bullets can miss and hit the floor, which makes little pieces fly, that and you can see the bullets, thats how I find my aggressor. Also fun to sabotage forts, because enemy forts can be a real pain to hold, so its best to render them uselss and any bridges leading to them. Not really griefing because its much harder to take them down than it us to build them. Because the game has physics, you can knock out all the supports everything else just comes down. Though sometimes you can use enemy structures as cover, and it's best to tweak them to your advantage than break them. Just don't bury the enemy tent, that's just foul play ![]() |

![]() Orange means this little red indicator on the hud (just below the timer, and above the reticule), in most FPS games and 3rd person games its represented by a segment of a full circle with an arrow. Sometimes; it's just a red glow in a specific corner. I just made a sweet one of these for NeverDead; shame the games gonna suck. |

Yeah the game has a LOT of potential, but that's pretty much it. However, great fun and very addicting minus the team swappers/griefers. |

Would be nice if they added global announcements so at least you know who killed who or just who ks'ed who lol Also, so far I was only able to connect to the SpA server once..what's the limit of players for it? |

Psst I logged there after you and you had around 40pts, and I still passed you ;P But that guy hiding with the intel made it kinda boring..ffs.. |

Mumble is infinitely better than Vent. I don't know why but it is...and we all use it...and you don't have spammy dickheads because Mumble requires Specialattack registration. Also I got all 9 intels to 0 steals for the green team on my last server ![]() |

Anyone know where the master server is based? And where the dev team are if that is different? |

Vent isn't public or at least if you don't want it to be, for example, I normally frequent 2 vents, 1 for my community and a friend's vent. Mine is set so that people can join without password (tagged as guests) but can't move from lobby (when me or another admin makes them an acc then they're free to move around). My friend on the other hand requires a pass to be able to login to it. Also the quality seemed +/- the same, but I'll have to check around mumble's options. I'm so used to vent it's kinda hard to use another prog lolIs it possible to adjust individual volume? For example, Junco's volume was ok, but Smokey was a bit low..on vent I canright click a person>miscellaneous>special effects>volume (increase/decrease), can I do the same with mumble? On topic, it's probably gonna take some time before they add significant improvements, they'll probably just fix a few bugs like being able to see the intel and other people behind walls; make global announcements for deaths, vote kicks, etc.; add a specific score limit with a map reset after that; more modes; and so on ;P |

I've been in contact with the dev. (singular) Here's the hint he gave me about whats next up: Ben Aksoy wrote: Command arguments are a good idea I'll work on but a solid server is
I'll take stability over new features any day. my ultimate goal... I've tracked down one of the last crash bugs and it should be out next week with a new client including better ironsights and other minor tweaks. Later! ben ![]() |

I would really like it if esc didnt end the game, as it also gets you out of the chat field. If servers didnt crash though, the maps would eventually be unusable, players stuck in a rut, and no one will be able to get on a server. |

That's why it'll need a fixed goal instead of endless matches ![]() |

Someone get this guy a job with Minecraft STAT!![]()
Is it possible to adjust individual volume? For example, Junco's volume was ok, but Smokey was a bit low..on vent I canright click a person>miscellaneous>special effects>volume (increase/decrease), can I do the same with mumble?
Fairly sure I've seen that option somewhere but I'm not too sure. There is no harm in using either of course, all you need is a mic and any other program works, but if you wanna talk to Specialattack oriented guys, Mumble is the way to go just 'cause we're there. If you asked me to go to Vent I wouldn't say no at all. |

I find SpA's mumble quite disorganized in therms of channels, since I'm not use to both the program and SpA's server it's confusing as hell..so many random channels lol 1st time was ok, there was a temp channel for AoS. |

Post subject: | Re: Ace of Spades - Minecraft meets WWI |
no AoS channel? Right click temporary channel and make one. |
