Hmmm...

You used the bamboo as a straw to drink alcohol out of the pumpkin? I heard that people pour alcohol into water melons so perhaps you can do that with pumpkins as well... However, I doubt that it would have worked since bamboos are not hollow all the way through. ^^

Perhaps you used the bamboo to carve out the pumpkin or drill a hole in it?

(And later, you fucked the pumpkin like Roberto Benigni in Night on Earth by Jim Jarmush - by any means, watch that movie - it's awesome. Sometimes incredibly funny and sometimes sad but it gives you something to think about.)

Yeah, but you missed the pumpkin :D

You can see on the picture that the bamboo still has the ends covered with plastic. So that means it is not hollow. So he can't have smoked through the bamboo.
I'm no expert on bongs though, so I can't really say what else the bamboo could have been used for.

Its a simple tale of the love of one man and his bamboo stick -

One sunny day he was walking through the park with his bag of weed and a smile on his face. But something was missing, deep down there was a bamboo shaped hole no other could fill. He would meander aimlessly for days, trying to smoke enough weed to fill this hole but it was an impossibility. Until one rainy stormy day there was a knock on his door. He opened it. And standing there, cold and wet from the rain, shivering from the hours it had spent lost in the urban jungle of SaintKland, was a singular bamboo peice. He had to have it(her?), he grabbed it and took it from the cold, and made it feel wanted again. No more rejection for this bamboo stick and finally the man was happy... Then they had dirty dirty bamboo-man sex.
