SLIGHT CHANGES :P ?! Rifles with nearly no recoil if comparised to recoil from CS 1.6 ;p ? Maps with useless props and with totally strange design (for example cs_assault - it really doesnt look like assault) ;p ? Player still able to move after getting shot, when in 1.6 you couldn't walk for a while ;p ?
You haven't really played CSS, have you? xD

Don't get me wrong, I understand why some people don't want to adapt to game changes, especially since whole game-engine changes are always pretty big but you don't have to make up stuff just to say that it's your taste, time and fun. :)

I played CS:S and I think that CS1.6 gives me more fun :P . Maybe I can't get used to the changes, I don't know :) . I prefer to play what gives me more fun than what is newer or more popular.

Lim-Dul's post is too long to quote, so I will just answer :P .
- Recoil is really not as huge as in 1.6. Shoot at the wall from AK a full clip without pauses in both games and compare. Of course for player it's better that recoil is lower, but for me it's a bit strange that recoil is so low in CS:S if it's intended to be more realistic then 1.6
- And that sucks, that most of servers are one map 24/7 :P . But about altered maps - I don't know, maybe it's fixed, but when I played CS:S I was blocked on some lying on floor barrels or whatever it was.
- I played different games (TF2 is different game, ya? (: ), but I'm talking about CS now :P . There is a notable difference between CS:S and 1.6 in matter of slow-down after shot. I won't judge if it's good or not, I just think that it's not a slight change ;> .
- I heard about Alea Iacta Est, but I know it just from the name. Not my times as you good pointed :P . I'm also not very much in esports scene, so I really don't know when this clan has successes in ClanBase :p .
So when we are in topic of e-sport: if CS:S is so good, why on primary competitions like ESWC or WCG there's no CS:S but CS1.6 ;> ? But, just end this discussion about CS, it will be endless :P . 1.6 fans have their own points, Source fans also. BUT, I will try CS:S in near future once again, maybe I'll find it better than 1.6, I don't know (:

The thing is - I'm not really a CS:S fan - I played it for a far shorter period of time than CS 1.6. I just think credit's due where credit's due. By the time CS:S came out I was already so bored with CS-like gameplay that I had to stick to things like WC3 mods to make the game enjoyable. ;-)

After a brake CS is even more enjoyable then it was :P . I played for like three years this game, then I had a 2 years brake because I was bored of it and now I enjoy playing it again :D . Shame, that so many idiots play on Polish servers, and you have to listen through voicechat how everybody sucks.

Flash grenades which makes you deaf and blind instead of only blind like in 1.6 ;p ?
Wikipedia wrote:
A stun grenade is a nonlethal weapon, similar in many respects to a true grenade. It is also called a flashbang grenade, a bang grenade, or a Flash and Noise Diversionary Device (FNDD). The first devices of this type were created in the 1960s at the behest of the British Special Air Service as an incapacitant.

Stun grenades are used to confuse, disorient, or distract a potential threat. A stun grenade can seriously degrade the combat effectiveness of affected personnel for up to a minute. The best known example is the M84 stun grenade, which produces a blinding (6-8 million Candela) flash and deafening (170-180 dB SPL) blast. This grenade can be used to incapacitate people, generally without causing serious injury. Standing operating procedure for LAPD SWAT has officers deploy flashbangs close to the point of entry. This is because all attention will be directed towards the door once it has been breached, and deploying the flashbang close to this point heightens the chances that a suspect will be affected by the device.

The flash of light momentarily activates all photosensitive cells in the retina, making vision impossible for approximately five seconds until the eye restores the retina to its original, unstimulated state. Subjects affected by flashbangs describe seeing a single frame for the five seconds (as if their vision was "paused") until it fades and normal sight returns (some modern video games that simulate combat—typically the "first person shooter" genre—include this effect). This is because the sensory cells which have been activated continue sending the same information to the brain until they are restored to their resting state, and the brain translates this continuous information into the same image. The incredibly loud blast emitted by the grenade contributes to its incapacitating properties by disturbing the fluid in the semicircular canals of the ear.

When detonated, the fuse/grenade body assembly remains intact and produces no fragmentation. The body is a steel hexagonal tube with holes along the sides which allow a blast of light and sound to be emitted. This is done to prevent injury from shrapnel but it is still possible to receive a burn, and injuries resulting from the concussive properties of the detonation sometimes occur, the intense heat created by the flashbang can also ignite flammable materials such as fuel or certain fabrics. The fires that occurred during the Iranian Embassy Siege in London were caused by stun grenades. The filler consists of about 4.5 grams of a pyrotechnic metal-oxidant mix of magnesium or aluminium and an oxidizer such as ammonium perchlorate or potassium perchlorate.

You think its a big change if in the other game your hear nothing for 3 seconds and are blind for 3 secs instead of being only blind 3 secs? :|

It's a big change, but I would prefer realism over convenience.
