Small suggestion regarding the rotation: move hydro so it isn't right after dustbowl, those two spamfests in a row are too much to take.

New changes;

- Changed classlimiter plugin to a differant authors plugin to fix the bugs with classes having weapons they shouldn't and engi limits not working
- Set max allowed engi's on 0 for tc_hydro

Hmm I guess this community likes changes - at about 10:35 pm server was almost empty ( 7 players ) :P

This was caused due to a crash on our VMware machine. The database went down causing the server to stall at map change while we were rebooting the VMware machine. Was a complete sepperate event. Server has been full all day with all the changes. (and it is now again).

You're probably already aware of this but the engie limit doesn't seem to work, reports of people without class limiter immunity being able to pick engie on ctf maps.

What time was this? Around 22.00 we changed to a differant classlimiter which should be blocking engi's propperly, accept for the classlimiter immunity, we're still working on that part to be able to fully block a class, even for people with classlimiter immunity.

Only thing I don't like is spy/sniper limit set to 1. Whatever, it's fun to play on Turbine :ugly:

When I played yesterday, only 1 guy could play sniper. With spy it was the same. I'm sure for 100%. That was like that on all maps.

I can second this.
Yesterday evening only one player could play Sniper.
If I wanted to play that class, it just brought me back to the class menu without any comment stating that the class is full.

All classes belong to the game, at least 2.

Please make those rules apply on all servers, just went off 2fort, where 4 blu and 3 red players decided to go engi and made all other players quit...

I think having it on 1/2 of our 26 slot servers (but if we have 3 just put it on 1), I had the most fun I have ever had on a public on a turbine game the other day due to there being no engineers, the game was a lot more dynamic and it was a lot of back and forth. Compared to when engi's play you just get a big sentry spam in middle and then one team dominates for 30 minutes. We even had two players favouriting the servers as soon as he heard we had engi limit 0 on ctf maps :wink:

So I would love it on all servers, but I think others would get annoyed by it, it's working in the current set up of 1/3 servers running it. Sometimes engineer is a nice way to relax tbh.

We're first reworking the classlimiter immunity plugin to prevent people with immunity of using engineer when their not allowed. Once thats done the new plugin+gamerules will be rolled out on all the servers.

The engineers limit will *not* be extended onto other maps! It will be purely to make ctf maps (+hydro) playable again.

I'm almost scared to say it, but i had a game on turbine the other day without engi's, and i loved it.

Thats exactly the point of having no engis at ctf - game is as dynamic and interesting as on cp or payload. I love 2fort now, since you can go heavy, cloak behind a sandvich and pow some snipers on the sniper deck :ugly:
